That is a great question. Every care.com account has a search bar located within their account. That search bar can be located underneath the different colored service tabs on the top of your account. We would advise you to filter your search by start date in order to find a job posting for the dates you are interested in. You can always filter by selecting an option in the "sort by" section at the top of the results page. In addition, you will find that more jobs will be posted for those dates as we get closer to the summer months. Best of luck with your job search!

i am in college right now but i come home in june so that is when i would start my nannying but all of the jobs i am seeing are only advertising nannying jobs starting now. how can i see ones that start in the summertime?

If you haven t utilized all of the features that Care.com offers, think about adding a few more! Adding a photo, running a background check, or adding references, connections and reviews will strengthen your profile, and make it more attractive to the families that are looking to hire. Always make sure that your profile is up to date and proof read, as well as the applications that you send out. Keep checking the site and actively applying for jobs. The more jobs you apply to, the more likely you are to hear back! Keep in mind that new jobs are being posted on the site every day, so there are always new opportunities to find the perfect fit. No need for worries! Care.com would never share your social security number to anyone on the site. How you view the results of your check is the exact same view that families will see. It will either state the social security has been verified or has not been verified, and in both cases it does not share the number. Care.com has a very strict policy around privacy and we take it very seriously. I hope that helps!

I am very worried, I gave care.com my social security number,are any of the families allowed to see it? I have a family that I feel might be a scam and now I am worried that it might be a identity problem, I usually never give out my social, since I did I am really concerned, please let me know if i am safe or not.

Hi Sarah, if you re getting an error saying that the photo is not large enough it just needs to be re-sized before uploading again. Make sure that it is at least 450 pixels x 450 pixels. If your photos are rejected, take a minute and review our photo guidelines to see if there is anything you need to fix. Hi Brenda! If the families that are trying to write the reviews are non-members, they need to create a free account on Care.com as if they were a family looking to hire. They do not need to pay the membership fee in order to do so. Once they have created a basic account, you can utilize your My Connections feature, and send them an invite to connect. Once they have established the connection, they will be prompted to write a review on your profile. Once they have submitted the review it will go through a short approval process, and then be posted to your account.

Hi Nancy! Yes, in order to apply for regular babysitting or nanny jobs on the site you do need to add a child care service as well as special needs. This will allow you to apply to child care jobs and get updates about the newest families/jobs that post in your area.

I been on care.com for about 3 weeks and I just got a call on Friday from a family. I went on an interview and I am now a full time nanny working 45 hours a week. This site really does work.

I need to put reviews on my profile.I do not have people and/or families from the care.com to ask. All my pass people and families I have worked for were before I joined.
These's people have tried to write reviews,but are denied because they do not have a care.com account. How can they enter a review for me without becoming a member???? Please answer me

Hey Ladies..My name is Katie. I'm super excited to start my nanny journey and also as a first time mommy! I'm 39 weeks pregnant and due to have my baby girl any day now. My ideal family will allow for me to bring my newborn on the job, while also bringing personalized care and a loving energy to their home and little ones. Hi Everyone,
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the Premium Provider memberships going around. The benefits of the membership included improved visibility on the site as well as access to family who have not yet posted jobs. These Families can be found using the search function on the site. If you are a childcare provider for example select "Families Seeking Childcare" from the search drop down.

When it comes to not hearing back from families whom you have applied with we understand your frustration. At Care.com we try to make it as easy as possible for families to respond, even when they are not interested. However we cannot mandate a response any more than we can mandate an application from a Provider. Hang in there everyone Care.com is full of opportunities and we are growing everyday. Good Luck!

I have been trying to seek a nanny/babysitting job for over 9 months, it just isn't fair that we give our information and we never seem to get a response back if the job was offered to someone else. Some people give out their phone numbers which gives us the opportunity to call them immediately. If they are interested in you they tell you to meet them and they never call back either with more information. This needs to change.

When I signed up for the premium provider for six months the info said I would have access to jobs before they were posted. How do I access that info??? How do clients find me out of so many caregivers. I really wish I understood how this works. Gloria R

Hello. I have also been applying for numerous jobs and nobody answers back! I think there should be a policy for the families to respond regardless of interest so we are more aware of whether to move on or not! I had two interviews and they said also I will call you in a few days and they never do...just not right! I am a stay at home mother and I deserve the right to work just like everyone else and I feel discriminated against.
I need to work from home to be there for my kids because I don't have money for a sitter or daycare... its impossible to come by.

I'm a pet care professional, very experienced. I would like to see care.com educate people who are looking to hire someone who posts on care.com, that they should not expect people to respond to an ad where they are offering $5-10 an hour!! They need to know that we have expenses -- gas, wear and tear on the car, the time spent to get to and from their homes, time spent with the pet. Look at any delivery company, a florist, for example -- their delivery charges are $10 on top of the product they deliver. Note to providers who read this, whether you are a babysitter, pet care person, housekeeper -- you are losing money, not making money by "giving" away your services.

I would love for you to address this issue care.com?

I updated my profile with a premium membership and I was hoping to have access to the phone numbers of the families seeking help to be able to contact them (like I provided mine with no restrictions) How am I suppose to contact them? And what is the purpose of having a premium account ? So far,I don't see any differences. I have never find a job with all these ads. posted in Care . Com with families looking for help. Sandra.

I just updated my profile with premium membership and I don't see any different from the free account. The member care service representative told me that if I paid the 40 premium it'll give you access to those who is seeking childcare. I just paid $40 and I don't see anything changes. I need help how to work with these account and I want to remove my old profile and it does not letting me doing it. I need an advice can someone please help!!! Beside I want to get the job more faster that the reason why I am willing to pay the $40.

I think this is a good how people could get a job and is kind of easy you don't really got to kill yourself looking for a job they let you know when is new jobs available in your area and staff like that send you messages about the person that you apply to and see if they like your profile or hire you

Ardella- Premium refers to the status of an account not a specific location. If you have upgraded, then you now have access to more families in your area, a free background check, and a highlighted rank in our search results! Karmu- Many of our members do not choose to leave a phone number on the site out of concern for privacy. Families can always be reached by sending them a message through your Care.com profile. Once you have gotten to know each other and are comfortable, then you can exchange contact information. Good luck!

Annah- If you log on to your Care.com account you can hide any service you no longer wish to provide on the "Profile & Settings" page.Once you are in profile and settings scroll down to the 'My services' sections and click the button that says 'Hide/show Services' The system can direct you from there. I'm sorry the premium membership is not giving you what you expected. While members of care.com are able to give out their contact information if they wish, we do not typically display it. Even you have the option to add or remove your phone number in an effort to protect everyone's information.
This does not mean however, that there are not significant perks to your Premium membership. It comes with increased visibility, more access to families in your area, and a free background check good for a year! All of these benefits are explained in the article I have linked below. Great to hear you are being pro-active and keeping your account up to date. It does take a few hours for changes you have made to your profile to be reflected on the site. That may be why you are not seeing your changes right away. So long as you see a green check mark appear saying your changes have been saved it is just a matter of time before they are reflected on the site.
