Special Needs Educator For Kids With Learning Disabilities
I can't explain the excitement I find in that moment when a child's eyes light up because they finally "get" a new concept or skill. I don't believe in ever taking the stance that a child will not be able to learn something because of a medical condition, but rather I am constantly working to try to find a new method that will help the child meet the goal. In working with children with special needs I have found that although the journey to grasp a concept may be longer and require a much more creative approach, once we have reached that goal there is a much greater sense of achievement and excitement. In the past, I have worked as an inclusive all-day kindergarten teacher and intervention specialist for kids with learning disabilities. I am now working as an education administrator. I have also been working as a private tutor with students who are challenged with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and other medical issues the past two years. I teach mostly through hands-on activities and games.

Full Time Caregiver To Special Needs, Seniors, Those With Disabilities, And Pets.
I currently work with a special recreational association as a program assistant and one on one inclusion aide. I take pride in working with special needs which can range from toddlers to seniors because it's my passion and my dream to make a change in the world by helping others one on one. I love seeing a special needs child blossom from being shy and staying away from the group to becoming an active individual in the group who isn't afraid to play and talk to others, or when an adult with special needs doesn't believe in themselves to do an activity on their own and when I can encourage them to try that activity and they fall in love with it, it's the best feeling in the world! I have also worked as a dining room care manager at a senior living taking care of residents and managing their portion intake, what they eat, How many calories, etc. With all that being said, I also have a passion of taking care of pets. I have a dachshund, hamsters, and frogs which I love and care for at home. I also have experience with horses, chickens and cats.

Special Needs Teacher Seeking To Care For Children And Young Adults With Or Without Disabilities
I have taught regular and special needs children for many years. I have two children who are successful, competent adults and would treat your child as my own. That means treating them with respect and as competent individuals who are responsible and capable. I enjoy working with communication challenged individuals and have taught a non-verbal autistic child to communicate using sign language to get his basic needs met. I have had training in too many topics to list relating to children and development. I taught parenting for over eight years and can offer assistance with parenting issues and discipline problems. I love working with children and seeing the light come on when they understand something and the look of triumph when they accomplish a goal they've been working on.

Experienced Personal Attendant For Children With Special Needs/disabilities. Available To Work 7-3
Avg response < 5 hrs
I have had experience babysitting three children with developmental delays. I have also had experience watching two children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I was a personal attendant for a child who is recovering from a brain injury. He suffers from seizures, stimming, and developmental delays. I frequently corrected his posture out of the 'W' position and corrected negative behaviors such as stimming and self-harm. I changed him, fed him, bathed him, assisted him with his mobility, and administered his physical therapy called CCDT (Chronologically Controlled Developmental Therapy).
