Compassionate And Artistic Companion

Responds within a few days
I am a working artist looking to enrich my life by reaching out to provide companionship and inspiration to those in need . I was the sole caretaker for my grandmother, living to 87, and miss her dearly every day. I am happy to provide transportation, preform errands, or prepare meals, but I am also available to take walks with your loved one, have a rewarding conversation with them, or work together on an creative project. I have a degree in fine art and am certified to teach art! My reward is watching pride bloom as your loved one creates works of art with me. I have worked with children and adults of all ages, teaching anything from portraiture to sculpture to photography and have an endless amount of exciting ideas. I have also worked for 3 years as an Artist in Residence for young adults who have moderate to severe disabilities. I was a girl scout leader. I would be honored to work with your loved one and be a creative companion.

Anita started out as a companion to my mom and quickly became a friend to both of us. She was reliable, flexible with her availability and provided loving care, preparing delicious meals with what was on hand, took initiative with what needed to be done, used her art as a valuable tool to foster creativity, and most of all, provided companionship and genuine concern. I would recommend Anita to anyone.

I was referred to Markwita when looking for care for my aunt. Markwita started working with her the day she came home from her skilled nursing facility after recovering from a lung infection. She was very kind and patient with my aunt who is extremely stubborn and independent, set in her ways. My aunt prefers not to socialize, however, with Markwita's help through conversation, exercised my aunt's lungs so that she could breathe better without her realizing it, could walk for longer periods of time and she was able to breathe so much better and almost without her oxygen at all now even though she suffers from COPD and has survived both lung and breast cancer. Markwita helped her maintain her medications and performed nebulizer treatments, performed light house cleaning duties, laundry and even watered her many plants outside. She taught my aunt how to properly use her portable oxygen tanks so she could keep her independence as my aunt loves to drive and go shopping
