Nurturing, creative, and responsible nanny with many years of caregiving experience. Successfully maintained a safe environment for children while providing fun, imaginative, yet educational activities for children of all ages from newborns to younger school-aged children. My childcare experience goes beyond the amount of time that I have worked as a nanny professionally. I am a mother of 2 young women age 21 and 18 years old. I have babysat and took care of nephews and nieces many times in the years past. Medically, I've worked as a medical assistant for a pediatrician and was a patient care technician at an urgent care facility as well. Families have always been able to rely on me and trusted me. Rest assured that your child or children are in great hands. I am currently looking for an occasional/date nights position. So reach out if you need me :)

Corina was the nanny for my baby between his ages of 4 months and 19 months until we left the city this March. I always felt comfortable and confident knowing he was in her care- she is exceptionally responsible, fastidious, and loving, and my son L. developed a wonderful bond with her. She helped him build good eating habits and took him to enriching places, making relationships with other nannies and constantly organizing times for him to play with the babies in their care. She is a great nanny and we really felt that we could count on her, which is so important, as we are two busy working parents and having someone detail oriented to stay on top of things was fantastic.

Fun, Energetic, Experienced, Male Babysitter

Hi, I'm James! I am originally from Fargo, ND but have lived in Orlando for almost 3 years now. When I was 11 I became "babysitter certified" and certified in CPR/First Aid, and I have been babysitting ever since. I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 14 years old, and up to 6 children at a time of varying ages. I have always felt comfortable with the energy and effort it takes to take care of all of them. Kids tend to love me as well, and on multiple occasions I have heard from parents that their kids beg to have me back. While in Florida, I did the Disney College Program for 9 months, worked at a charter school for kids with special needs and the YMCA Learning Center for 12 months, and now work at an ABA behavior therapy center as a Registered Behavior Technician full time. I also maintain a current CPR/First Aid certification. And I have annual passes to all Orlando theme parks! I can't wait to meet you and your kids!

In the middle of a vacation, I needed to attend to some work, and James took care of my four children in the evening at a hotel. That's right. He came to the hotel room and somehow kept four children (ages 9-4) happy. He brought games, kept them entertained, and was simply amazing. I would be thrilled to be able to secure his services again should I ever be in Orlando. My children, like so many other children in these reviews, wanted to keep him as part of the family afterwards. I cannot thank James enough for all of his work. He even swept the hotel room where they ate dinner! A gem. James is amazing.

Carmen is excellent child care provider. She has everything kids needs and my twins are always smiles when they leave. Sometimes they don't want to leave. Her home is child proof and has a beautiful play area for them when the weather is right. I would definitely recommend her and her prices are reasonable for us everyday working families.

FAQs for finding a babysitter

What is the going rate for babysitters on Care.com?
The average rate for babysitters on Care.com as of August, 2020 is $13.50 per hour. This rate will fluctuate depending on your location, the babysitter's level of experience, and the number of children to be watched. Other factors that may also influence the rate include the need for additional babysitting duties, specialized care, and overnight care.
How do I find a babysitter for my kids?

Looking for a babysitter can feel like a daunting task. To make the process easier, you can start by outlining what you'd like from a candidate before starting your babysitter search. Think about the level of experience you wish them to have, if you want them to have any first-aid certifications, if you need them to handle additional duties such as driving kids around or helping with homework assignments, and how much you are willing to pay.

To start your search process on Care.com, start by creating an account and answering a few questions to find babysitters that match your needs. You will then have the option to either post a job that can be seen by our extensive pool of caregivers or search babysitters from the platform based on years of experience, hourly rate, availability, distance from your area, etc. After you have selected your candidates, you can schedule interviews, check references, request additional background checks, and hire the sitter who best meets the needs of your family.

What should I ask a babysitter during an interview?
In order to get to know if the candidate is a good fit, focus your interview questions around their previous experience, their babysitting style and personality, their previous training and skills, as well as any specific requirements to be performed on the job. It is very common to schedule a paid trial where you can be present while they care for your children. This is a great way to find out if the babysitter is a good match for your family and if your kids feel comfortable too.
