Hi! My name is Caitlin, and I am a dependable, hardworking, responsible college student who is passionate about childcare. I have always been great with kids, and babysitting is something I truly enjoy. I have been babysitting for five years for multiple families in my area, including children of all ages, and children with special needs. I also am an avid animal lover. I know it is difficult for parents to trust someone with their kids, and I will do everything possible to build trust and go through that process with you. My goal is to make a connection with the kids I babysit, and to provide them with a safe, loving, positive environment. I am always willing to drive the kids on pre-approved trips, find engaging indoor and outdoor activities, and comply with any schedule they may have. I am a great team worker, and work always keep an open line of communication so I can be the best fit for your family I can be. I will always go above and beyond to meet your expectations!

Caitlin came to us highly recommended by an acquaintance. She helped us take care of our 3 yr old son, when the daycare was closed during COVID19 pandemic. Considering that there were limited activities that could be done outside and we were working from home, she came up with creative activities and went above and beyond to keep our son occupied and happy. She took him for walks around the neighborhood, played games and be silly with him as well. She would take all necessary precautions (face mask, sanitizer, hand washing etc) before and after trips outside. We would hire her again in a heartbeat in the future and highly recommend her to anyone!

Weekend Babysitter Available On Short Notice

Hi, my name is Richard. I went to school as an education major, and though I eventually switched into software development I continue to enjoy working with kids. I babysit simply because I love doing it- I love getting to know other families, and I love caring for children! I've babysat for over 15 years, as well as teaching both martial arts and Sunday school classes for ages 5-12. I'm background checked and CPR/first aid certified, a non-smoker, punctual, and able to help out with homework. As a sitter I strive to strike a balance between energetic play and calm structure, as appropriate. I want you to be comfortable, and your children to have a happy and positive experience. In these uncertain times, I am practicing social distancing- working from home. I work professionally so my daytime availability is limited. Nights and weekends, however, I can often help on short notice. I am happy to answer any and all questions you have, and I thank you for your consideration.

We have used Richard for many months now and honestly he is the first person we would ever contact to watch our children. We have one son with autism and ADHD and I don't think there's a more caring, patient and loving babysitter out there that we feel 100% comfortable caring for our children! They beg for him to come over and we use him on a weekly basis pretty much ! I have five children and I don't think I've ever had someone that is so dependable and gives our children such great care! I highly recommend him and I have most definitely given my friends his number but my Has been scolded me for sharing him, LOL!

FAQs for finding a babysitter

What is the going rate for babysitters on Care.com?
The average rate for babysitters on Care.com as of July, 2020 is $13.00 per hour. This rate will fluctuate depending on your location, the babysitter's level of experience, and the number of children to be watched. Other factors that may also influence the rate include the need for additional babysitting duties, specialized care, and overnight care.
How do I find a babysitter for my kids?

Looking for a babysitter can feel like a daunting task. To make the process easier, you can start by outlining what you'd like from a candidate before starting your babysitter search. Think about the level of experience you wish them to have, if you want them to have any first-aid certifications, if you need them to handle additional duties such as driving kids around or helping with homework assignments, and how much you are willing to pay.

To start your search process on Care.com, start by creating an account and answering a few questions to find babysitters that match your needs. You will then have the option to either post a job that can be seen by our extensive pool of caregivers or search babysitters from the platform based on years of experience, hourly rate, availability, distance from your area, etc. After you have selected your candidates, you can schedule interviews, check references, request additional background checks, and hire the sitter who best meets the needs of your family.

What should I ask a babysitter during an interview?
In order to get to know if the candidate is a good fit, focus your interview questions around their previous experience, their babysitting style and personality, their previous training and skills, as well as any specific requirements to be performed on the job. It is very common to schedule a paid trial where you can be present while they care for your children. This is a great way to find out if the babysitter is a good match for your family and if your kids feel comfortable too.
