There's not enough that I can say about Ms. Camilla who is now "Nana" in my household. For starters, Nana is very supportive, encouraging, loving and caring. She is reliable, understanding and professional. She has a very nurturing spirit with a huge heart. When I first interviewed her as a nanny for my granddaughter, I was immediately drawn to and bonded with Nana. Nana provides superior service, love, care and guidance; not only to the child that she'll be taken care of but also the members within that same household. My family and I have been more than pleased with the development of our child. Nana has provided the appropriate developmental experiences that a child her age would need and then some. Not only did she provide encouragement and childcare; she also has become part of our family. She has numerous certifications in early childhood development. Nana is very experienced and she is great asset to my family. Such has she will be to your family.

I have been blessed to have been a nanny for several amazing families, all starting with their children at infancy and lasting between one and three years. I have a special fondness for infants and toddlers. They never fail to bring a smile to my face or amaze me with their curiosity and desire to absorb their surroundings. There are few things I have experienced in life that bring me the same sense of inner peace as rocking a child to sleep or soothing a crying baby or toddler. I will engage and stimulate your child through play and strive to instill a love for books early on. I am a huge proponent of limiting screen time and have seen first hand the benefits this has on children's ability to use their imagination and play independently. I am also a big proponent of outdoor time for little ones, even the infants. Thank you for reading my profile and if it speaks to you, I look forward to hearing from and hopefully meeting you!

Christine nannied for our family from when our older son was born until our boys were old enough for preschool. She is everything we could have hoped for and we were so lucky to have her as part of our family for that critical window. She made us better parents, and made our boys happier kids. Christine will step in and do what needs to be done, and will work with you to adapt to your parenting style. She will truly love your infant and quickly become invaluable. In pre-covid times, Christine routinely took them to story time, children's museums, play spaces, and so forth. She did an outstanding job of identifying appropriate activities at each developmental stage and implementing a routine that met their needs and ours. Christine traveled with our family multiple times and was an absolute godsend for us through the years. We never felt anything less than 100% confident that our boys were happy and loved when she was with them, and we would happily recommend her to new parents.

FAQs for finding nannies

In 2021 how much will it cost to hire a nanny?
The average rate for nannies on Care.com as of April, 2021 is $15.25 per hour. This rate will fluctuate depending on your location, the nanny's level of experience, and the number of children to be cared for. Other factors that may also influence the rate include specialized care, overnight care, or requesting your nanny to take additional responsibilities at home such as light housekeeping or meal prepping.
Are nannies background checked?
Yes, nannies on Care.com are asked to complete an annual background check called a CareCheck. Nannies who complete this background check will have a badge on their profile displaying the date it was run. While CareCheck is a good start, we strongly recommend that you follow some additional steps for hiring a nanny safely, which include interviewing candidates, checking references, and running your own background check. Visit our Safety Center to learn more.
What types of nanny services can I find on Care.com?
Care.com has a wide variety of nannies with different levels of experience and skills. You can find nannies specialized in infant care or overnight nannies to help with your newborn while you sleep. There are nannies experienced in caring for toddlers or teenagers, bilingual nannies, live-in nannies, and even nannies who can help watching your kids while on vacation.
What to look for in a nanny?
The perfect nanny for you may not be the perfect nanny for another family. Outline your needs and what you think will work best in your home. Do your kids thrive with structure and schedules? Are you more interested in getting your kids outside or being creative? Do you have young children who need hands-on care? Being clear about what you need and what you are looking for will help you find the right nanny for you.
What should I ask a nanny during an interview?
In order to get to know if the candidate is a good fit, focus your interview questions around their experience as a nanny, their child care style and personality, their previous training and skills, payment expectation, as well as any specific requirements to be performed on the job. It is very common to schedule a paid trial where you can be present while they care for your children. This is a great way to find out if the nanny is a good match for your family and if your kids feel comfortable as well.
