Kind, Compassionate Nanny

Hello families my name is Nakya and I was born and raise in Washington DC. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of your family. I have work in the daycare facilities for over 14 years with 10 years experience as a CDA licensed childcare provider specializing in the care of children ranging in age from newborns to teens. I am CPR and first aide certified with special early child care training. I am also working towards fulfilling my passion in special-education. My favorite Learning activity to do with the children is the five senses I loved this activity because it gives me a chance to watch the children explore their sense while learning all about their five sense. I also enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and engaging in fun creative indoor/outdoor activities that children will find entertaining and fulfilling. My hobbies are writing poetry, reading books and spending time with my family and friends... working with children is my passion and I loved every bit of it.

Nakya was our first care taker, from the time our son was 4 months old to almost 18 months old. As a first-time parent, it was so reassuring to have a nanny that was so sweet and gentle with a young baby; and with her wide range of childcare experience she had respectful suggestions based on how our son's age and development was progressing. Adult-to-adult, Nakya is very personable, warm, and energetic. As she offered suggestions to us, she was also open to feedback as well. The only reason we don't still employ Nakya is because of the covid-19 pandemic; with work schedules & expectations all out of "whack," we don't need a care taker at all at this time. Thank you Nakya!

Loving Nanny Available

Avg response < 11 hrs
Hello. My name is Gerre and I love working with children. I have many years of experience caring for children as a preschool teacher. I plan structured activities for the child throughout the day. The activities consist of reading, writing, counting, shapes, colors, science, and crafts. I do not like to sit in the house, so I am looking for a position where weekly trips to the zoo, museums and parks are permitted. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me and tell me about your family and what you are looking for in a nanny. I look forward to hearing from you.

Gerre is an excellent caregiver and great with kids! Gerre came to work for us on short notice when our nanny need to deal with a family issue at home for 2 months and we count ourselves lucky that she did. Gerre was fantastic with our twins--who admittedly can be a handful--and our infant. We have no reservations recommending Gerre for your family. She is conscientious, attentive, creative, and punctual. In addition, Gerre has been flexible in working with us and our work schedules and has always shown up to work with a positive disposition and an excitement for the day. Gerre was responsible for getting the twins to their daytime activities and did so without fail. She absolutely loves babies and our baby loved her right back! She smiles every time Gerre comes in the room and even when she hears her voice on the phone. All in all, we were very happy with Gerre.

Part Time Nanny

Hello! My name is Jake and I am an experienced nanny looking for new opportunities in the DC area. Over the course of the last seven years, I have been a counselor at multiple camps, a 1st grade teaching assistant, a behavioral technician and a part/full time nanny for 3 boys. During my time as a nanny, I have worked with multiple families and hundreds of kids. When I am working, the most important thing to me are your kids... and only your kids. This includes their safety, happiness and well-being. I am extremely communicative and know how to work with all kinds of people, especially other adults. In any free time, I love to run, competitively play the piano, study, practice sports, bake... really anything! I am an extremely flexible person. Note: I have also specialized in children with autism and/or IDDs. Please, refer to my references or contact me if you have any further questions. I would love to provide further information!

Jake has cared for our son H (now 13 yrs of age) occasionally for over a 5yr period. We have found Jake to be a wonderful role model- he is someone who we trust our son with implicitly. Jake is punctual, respectful, well mannered, interacts well with kids and parents alike- most importantly Jake has a good heart and will be a great example for your child. I wouldn't hesitate to rely on Jake for any needs.
