Please let me start out by saying I have a huge heart and my passion is working with children! I have a 4 year degree in Child Development: B-k & my background covers everything from babysitting, lead teacher in a 2-year-olds at a five star center, student teaching in a Kindergarten class and Nannying. I absolutely love working with children because of how they view the world. Everything is so fresh and that makes life exciting. It is important for children to learn through experiences with the world around them, I want to make sure that what they are absorbing is quality. If this inspires you, I hope to hear from you! I currently have a 1. 5-year-old daughter and would love to watch your child at my house.

After communicating with Melissa on care.com, my husband and I were very excited to invite her and her sweet baby girl to our home to meet our children. Her education, training, and experience with children of all ages were evident right way. She was a natural and seemed so comfortable, confident, and in her element with my children, and they clicked with her right away. She is fun, engaging, attentive, and has an impressive knowledge about safety and childhood development. I was ready to hire Melissa in a heartbeat and the only reason we couldn't was because we couldn't fit all of our car seats in her vehicle. I am immensely jealous of the family who gets to work with Melissa because she is truly one in a million!

I have been in the business of childcare for over 30 years. I got my start by being a doula when I was 26, and I fell in love with babies ever since. I have raised four children of my own on top of nurturing and caring for more than a 100 plus infants and toddlers. Throughout my years, I have gained an immense amount of experience in understanding children, and that has provided me with the opportunity to run a successful business for over 30 years. With that said, I am looking to transition into being a personal nanny for a household of up to two to three infants or toddlers. I am interested in providing more one on one care to a family unit as a whole via imparting knowledge to parents on how to care for their children to caring for and nurturing the child and or children.

Our daughter stayed with Rose in Rose's in-home daycare from the time she was 4 months old until she was 4. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Most importantly, Rose was never just a sitter or a caregiver. She worked with the kids (and families!) to ensure they were developmentally on track and that they were challenged with new opportunities to learn and grow. She made sure they had plenty of time outside and kept them active and engaged. She was also great at reading and introducing age-appropriate art and music activities. My daughter adored Ms. Rose and still goes back to visit her seven years later. In the four+ years we knew Ms. Rose, I never heard her raise her voice with the children or even seem frustrated. Even on the most challenging days, she was calm, kind and patient, always positive and supportive of the kids. I feel that we were very lucky to find Ms Rose, and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a highly qualified child care professional.
