I've Moriah almost all her life and she is a super trustworthy, kind, loving, thoughtful, dependable, gentle, caring person. She has a lot of experience working with kids of all different ages. She has volunteered in her church in the nursery with babies as well as work with older kids in children's church. She has helped me take care of nanny kids and she's also helped babysit my baby. She has worked with teens in social work as well. She is very calm, wise and responsible in the ways she works with people and is such a joy to be around. I highly recommend Moriah!

Hi, My name is Layna, I've been a Nanny, for 2 special needs children, for babies, toddlers, and teens for many yrs. I have CPR & First Aid training, and many years of hands on experience also raising my own son. Being a Mom & Nanny I've seen & handled just about every stage of children's development, through illnesses, teething, growing, learning pains, potty training, & much more. I was my son's Room Mother in his K-5th grades. And, I was also a Paraprofessional K-5 as well in the S. W. school system for 6 yrs. I'm up to date on my Flu and Tdap vaccines. And both background checks are here on file, for your ensured safety. If I can leave you with 1 last important thought.. I am a Nanny, I can offer more than a baby sitter. My years of experience can guarantee you peace of mind, and quality care, and that is what your child deserves. I'm available on a Part-time basis Mon-Fri. I hope to hear form you soon. Best Regards, Layna.

Layna was a fantastic caregiver for my 16 month old daughter and my 3 dogs and 1 cat. She made sure my daughter had breakfast and snacks, and lunch according to how baby was feeling that day. Layna read to my daughter, interacted with her through song and dance, and played educational videos (we do use some screen time). She arrived earlier by 10 minutes usually, which was extremely helpful to me to help out. We used Layna for 12 hours a week for my daughter. My daughter really took well to her and that is what was very important to me. I now have the opportunity to have family watch my daughter on the days I need, which made me really sad to lose Layna! She is an excellent caregiver, very patient, and will go above and beyond. If I could give 10 stars I would. I hope to be able to use her in the future again as well!

FAQs for finding nannies

How much will it cost to hire a nanny?
The average rate for nannies on Care.com as of October, 2020 is $14.75 per hour. This rate will fluctuate depending on your location, the nanny's level of experience, and the number of children to be cared for. Other factors that may also influence the rate include specialized care, overnight care, or requesting your nanny to take additional responsibilities at home such as light housekeeping or meal prepping.
What types of nanny services can I find on Care.com?
Care.com has a wide variety of nannies with different levels of experience and skills. You can find nannies specialized in infant care or overnight nannies to help with your newborn while you sleep. There are nannies experienced in caring for toddlers or teenagers, bilingual nannies, live-in nannies, and even nannies who can help watching your kids while on vacation.
What to look for in a nanny?
The perfect nanny for you may not be the perfect nanny for another family. Outline your needs and what you think will work best in your home. Do your kids thrive with structure and schedules? Are you more interested in getting your kids outside or being creative? Do you have young children who need hands-on care? Being clear about what you need and what you are looking for will help you find the right nanny for you.
What should I ask a nanny during an interview?
In order to get to know if the candidate is a good fit, focus your interview questions around their experience as a nanny, their child care style and personality, their previous training and skills, payment expectation, as well as any specific requirements to be performed on the job. It is very common to schedule a paid trial where you can be present while they care for your children. This is a great way to find out if the nanny is a good match for your family and if your kids feel comfortable as well.
