About Me: I live in Mandarin, have been married for 30 years and home-schooled for 20 years. After our children graduated I decided to become a Nanny. I love caring for infants, and teaching children using fun play and creativity. My real strength's are helping to schedule newborns, teaching and training little ones using a variety of reading, talking, sights, and sounds and using classical music. Our children began music lessons at a very early age, and now as young adults they are so glad they did. I can also teach beginning Suzuki violin. I have kept all of my home-schooling learning toys and educational materials to engage little minds and keep them entertained. Even if your child is an infant they are never too young to be learning about the world around them. A great benefit of reading to them at an early age is the difference it makes when they begin to talk and then go on to read. Several years ago I worked in the NICU at four local hospitals. As an area director, my duties were to hire, train, and to have top security clearance into the NICU to photograph premature newborns. I personally dressed and photographed over 1,500 babies. I thoroughly enjoyed my work. Presently, I am on the board of our churches Home-school Association. I have grown up in Jacksonville and live with my husband, our two grown children, three chihuahua's and a schnauzer. Please feel free read my profile to see if I might be a good fit for your family. I am also available for preliminary phone interviews to see if we are a good match. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you. What is a Newborn Specialist? Commonly known as baby nurse, a newborn specialist is a person who takes care of the baby during the critical first months of its birth. A newborn specialist provides his/her professional assistance at the baby's house. Responsibilities: * To feed, dress, and to bathe the infant. * To wash, clean, and sterilize the feeding bottles. * To change the baby's diapers, and maintain hygiene. * To provide proper and adequate meal to the baby. * To help the mother while breastfeeding if needed. * To care for the baby through the night, so that the parents can get some rest.

My name is Marsha and I am a military mom (Air Force and Marines) of three wonderful children. After 15 years in child care administration, I am very happy to be back where my career began! I now work exclusively as an overnight newborn care specialist, so you and your infant are my top priority the nights I am in your home. Each new experience is tailored to meet your family's specific needs. In general, I provide overnight support with feedings, sleep training (once age appropriate), care and comfort for baby and mom, so that everyone can get a full night of rest. I can also answer questions about newborn care, establishing a routine, and infant development. Additionally, I can help with folding infant laundry, bottle prep or emptying the dishwasher so you can start your morning fresh and ready to focus on your new little one. I have experience taking care of multiples as an overnight care specialist and as an infant teacher.

Marsha was great. We hired her to help us overnights with our preemie twins. Marsha was beyond helpful, supportive, loving and caring. She looked after our kids like they were her own allowing us to be able to rest comfortable and get some much needed full nights rest. Unfortunately for us, but I guess a good compliment of her skills, because Marsha is so great and in such high demand we needed someone for a few more shifts and she just did not have the amount of time open. With Covid-19 we didn't want to hire additional people in trying to minimize exposure so we had to go with someone that can be more full time. I would hire Marsha back in a second though. You can not go wrong and she would be a welcome addition to any family.
