Full-Time Caregiver For Newborns Or Toddlers

I am a nurse with 28 years experience, and licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I am a mother of a grown college educated child, and I am also a grandmother of one. Professionally, I have been rendering care to children throughout my career. However, I also have specific training and experience in caring for children with severe physical and cognitive disabilities. I enjoy kids. I desire to use my training and experience in a manner that is less acute, but no less satisfying. I am excited to connect with a family who is in need of a loving, stable, dependable, happy, energetic, very experienced, & tidy person to care for their little one while they have to be away from home. Having raised a child, I am acutely aware of the need for consistent, dependable, & loving childcare. It will be my pleasure to provide peace of mind for a working family through my natural ability as a caregiver. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting your family.

New Grad RN

Avg response < 4 hrs
Hi, I'm a new graduate from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Nursing. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in April 2020 and became board-certified in July. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has delayed the start of my nursing career since many new graduate positions are on hold. While I wait for a pediatric nursing job, I hope to continue gaining experience through nannying or babysitting. I have had pediatric clinical rotations at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, so I am comfortable caring for sick children. I am currently applying to nursing positions in neonatal intensive care units, but would be happy to care for kids of all ages.

Hannah was amazing! She watched my two toddlers (age 1 and 3) for a few weeks this summer. She was always on time, always had a smile on her face, and was always looking for something fun and creative to do with my children so they would play and learn at the same time. I knew after five minutes of speaking with her that she was the perfect fit for us! When I got to see her in action with the kids I was blown away. She had a great balance of being fair with my children and was firm when it was called for (which was not an easy task after the kids didn't have much of a routine or structure being home since March). My children naturally gravitated towards her and we're bummed when it was the weekend and Ms. Hannah wasn't coming. She made us feel so comfortable having someone we're not related to watching the children as this was our first time using a sitter. I would highly recommend her to any family looking for someone fun, energetic and caring.

Reasons To Choose Me

Avg response < 18 hrs
I would love to work with you because I love children and my dream is to become a mother and there is no better way to practice for this than being a nanny! When I did an exchange in 2014 and started to work as an aupair I thought that it would be something impossible for me but I fell in love for it. There I learned how to deal with a child that wasn't mine or my sister's. I loved the days we went to the playground and saw how happy they were and even when they were with a bad temper I loved them. Being part of a child's life is special, it is a way to learn different things and to change someone's life. When my nephew was born, I was always in my sister's house and I read for him every day, played and helped her to take care of him. I was the only one that could make him sleep fast, I used to tell him a story and to pass my fingers softly in his forehead and he would sleep. If there is something that you want to know, I will be happy to answer it!

Ari was our previous au pair for one year. She took care of my four children (5 year old, 3 year old and two twins, six months old) when she arrived to our family. She handled all the challenges that were given to her with children so young and she did it with ease. She is reliable and punctual. Good driver and follows instructions/requests given to her by us parents. You can trust your children will be safe with her.

Nanny Crystal

Avg response < 4 hrs
My name is Crystal, I am 22 years old and I love to work with kids. When I was 13 I volunteered at Pegasus Riding academy for kids with disabilities, then I went to volunteer at St. Christopher'a hospital in the child life department and NICU. I am currently in school to be a registered nurse in the oncology department. Before I worked at CVS pharmacy I worked at SPIN where I was a substitute teacher and I loved it there. I am a very outgoing, nice, dependable, and a punctual individual. I love doing sports, art and crafts, cooking, etc. I use to take care of my niece and nephew when they were little and I would take them swimming, to the park, movies, wherever they wanted to go. I still take them out and watch them sometimes, but not that much because they are grown; But I would love to have the opportunity to take care and help for anyone who is looking for a nanny.
