Compassionate And Artistic Companion

I am a working artist looking to enrich my life by reaching out to provide companionship and inspiration to those in need . I was the sole caretaker for my grandmother, living to 87, and miss her dearly every day. I am happy to provide transportation, preform errands, or prepare meals, but I am also available to take walks with your loved one, have a rewarding conversation with them, or work together on an creative project. I have a degree in fine art and am certified to teach art! My reward is watching pride bloom as your loved one creates works of art with me. I have worked with children and adults of all ages, teaching anything from portraiture to sculpture to photography and have an endless amount of exciting ideas. I have also worked for 3 years as an Artist in Residence for young adults who have moderate to severe disabilities. I was a girl scout leader. I would be honored to work with your loved one and be a creative companion.

Anita started out as a companion to my mom and quickly became a friend to both of us. She was reliable, flexible with her availability and provided loving care, preparing delicious meals with what was on hand, took initiative with what needed to be done, used her art as a valuable tool to foster creativity, and most of all, provided companionship and genuine concern. I would recommend Anita to anyone.

Experienced, Caring, Honest, Reliable Companion And Personal Assistant - Respite Care

Responds within a day
Have worked with seniors since 14 yrs old. A. A. degree in Human Services, specializing in Gerontology. Certified nursing assistant during this period. I enjoyed the work and helping the wonderful residents with their needs. After college, I spent a year caring for my grandmother until she needed more advanced care. Years later, I worked as a personal assistant/caregiver for a lovely woman. I did some cooking, assisted in bathing and dressing her, helped her with her shopping, drove her to her appointments, arranged her travel plans, and sometimes accompanied her on trips. I oversaw her staff and helped her pay her bills. Caregiving brings me joy. In late 2005, I returned to Sacramento to find my father ailing from Alzheimer's. I now am seeking part-time or overnight work for a senior, especially during this pandemic. Excellent references. Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certified. Bonded. Clean DOJ/FBI background check and driving record.

Jean is extremely warm and caring. She helped our family by driving our senior dad to a variety of doctor's appointment and treatments. He was in a lot of discomfort and she was very sweet and gentle with him and extremely respectful while also keeping him safe which isn't always the case with seniors. We trusted her and she was great about giving us feedback and even some good suggestions about some things she observed. She is also a very interesting person and great at conversing with him, particularly at a time when seniors are very isolated during COVID. She was also extremely careful about COVID safety protocols and we really appreciated that. Happy to talk to anyone who wants a reference on Jean.
