Pet Care And Dog Training
Avg response < 5 hrs
Pets have always been a part of my life and I would be delighted to care for yours. I grew up the daughter of a veterinarian and have cared for every type of animal imaginable. At a young age we bred and raised Golden Retrievers. I have raised and trained many dogs and currently have three dogs of my own. I have a 8-year-old Shi Tzu who is blind and has special medical needs. I have a 3-month-old Golden Retriever puppy and a 6-year-old Pomeranian/American Eskimo mix. In addition I have three wonderful playful and entertaining cats. I am currently working on a Master's degree in Human-Canine Life Sciences at Bergin University for Canine Studies. After 20 years working in the nonprofit sector I have decided to pursue my true passion and work with animals. Upon completion of my degree, I look forward to working in the Service Dog Industry and as a personal trainer/care taker.

Prior to my certification, I was a Playtime Supervisor and did Walk&Trains for White Oak Animal Hospital. In addition, I am certified through the American Red Cross in both cat/dog CPR and first aid. I have experience with and will provide care to cats, small mammals, and livestock (depending on the type of animal(s) and the requirements). Rates are negotiable, as every situation and client requires something different. I have rescue dogs, cats, and farm animals that I absolutely adore and look forward to showing your family member(s) the same love, affection, and attention I give my own babies. I have been caring for animals since I was a small child. I have been pet sitting for friends and family members since I was about 8 years old. I received a bachelors degree in animal science from UC Davis, and I have worked at shelters, boarding and daycare facility, a pet groomer, and an animal show. Throughout my various animal jobs, I have learned all aspects of animal care including feeding, training, cleaning, basic home grooming, and medicating. These experiences have also given me opportunities to work will all kinds of animals both domestic and exotic.

Responsible, Loving, Trained, Compassionate, Pet Care Professional
I am available for pet sitting, dog grooming, dog walking, administration of medicine, basic training. I have worked at a national pet store caring for and grooming animals. I have on hand expertise and have been trained and certified as a bather and groomer. I am reliable and trustworthy! Being in this business, it is extremely important that the parents of animals, know and trust that you will be there when you say you will be there to care for their companion. While your pet is in my care they are my highest priority and will receive the best care possible. Deciding on a pet care provider is a very serious matter. I encourage people looking for a provider to take their time, do their research, meet with the person, get all of your questions answered. It is essential to have the best possible fit for the pet. One thing that I do that is different, is I care for animals in their own home. Taking a pet out of their environment to be cared for is very stressful for the pet and the parent. To make sure that the animal is at ease and comfortable is my main goal. Parents can relax as well, knowing that their pet is in their home and keeping to a regular routine. When you hire a pet care provider that comes to your home for overnight visits, may cause some stress for the parents. In encourage all pet parents to make a list of "off limit" places in their home. I am very respectful and will never go anywhere in your home that has not been authorized by you. I also encourage pet parents, if they have the resources to invest in a "nanny cam". In my opinion, these cameras really hold the caregiver accountable, but also provide security for the pet care provider if an accident should happen. Some "nanny cams" or web-cams can provide live feed. I think that is a fun feature as well. When you are out, away from home and missing your companion, you have the ability to check in on them and see that they are comfortable. These are just a few of the tips that I have learned over the years to be helpful. I love working with animals, and would be delighted to be able to help you with your pet. But I also want you to have good solid information that will help you in making this decision.
