    Instructor

    Niklas is thrilled to be an instructor this summer at CAMP EDMO, teaching film, photo, and DJ beats. Niklas graduated from San Francisco State University last year with a degree in BECA and is pursuing his dreams in the media industry. Niklas loves making video, music and all kinds of art in his spare time and is ready to bring his upbeat attitude and love for games to CAMP EDMO this summer.

    Blakeley Rogers

    Instructor

    Blakeley is an Apparel Design and Merchandising major at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Her hometown is Atlanta, Georgia but she’s excited to experience a totally new city this summer. Blakeley has a special interest in sustainable fashion. She believes educating others on fashion upcycling at a young age is the best way to have a positive impact on the fashion industry. Blakeley loves thrift shopping and finding hidden treasures that she can give new life to. Her position in high school as a YMCA youth leader has given her invaluable experience with children and young teens of all backgrounds. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking, antiquing, meditating and volunteering in her community. She is honored to be a part of CAMP EDMO and can’t wait to work with all of the creative minds this summer!

    Clark Brinkley

    Instructor

    Clark is super pumped to be a new instructor here at CAMP EDMO, teaching multiple PRO programs all around the Bay! A native from the East Coast, Clark grew up sewing, playing instruments, building desks, and photographing wildlife! He’s an all-around guy! During college, Clark manned Kernohan’s Toy Store in Santa Barbara and assisted photographer Joyce Wilson with multiple photography workshops, and soon after graduated with a BFA in Professional Photography from Brooks Institute. Currently, Clark is a travel photographer and a Media Director for a survey company in the Bay. In his free time, Clark likes to play with his dogs, travel the world, jam out to music, discover new foods, and take in the smells of nature!

    Born in Mexico, and living far away from any big city, Carlos' main hobby has always been playing video games, and as he grew up he decided that he wanted to make video games for a living. Now, Carlos lives in San Francisco, and is studying Game Development! He loves to teach, is so excited to help the future generation of game designers! Carlos also takes an interest in what the future holds as far as new technologies and technological development. He can't wait to share his knowledge with the EDMO Pro crew this summer!

    Jeffrey Yee

    Instructor

    Jeffrey graduated last fall from University of San Francisco’s School of Education with his Masters in Teaching. He now holds his multiple subject credential and single subject in math. While finishing up school, Jeffrey has spent the last year visiting, volunteering, and subbing in different schools in San Francisco including Gordon J. Lau Elementary School and Gateway High School. Recently he has been learning about and researching his Chinese roots and family history as a part of a program that will visit his ancestral village later this year. On his free time, Jeffrey is a musician for fun and a fan of cool, silly dance moves. As much as he has loved working with the younger ones in EDMO, Jeffrey is looking forward to working with the big kids in EDMO PRO this summer and is excited to see old and new faces.

    Essie Elsakkar is a sociology major at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Essie is excited to move back to the greatest city in the world! Born in Tanta, Egypt, Essie came to San Francisco with his family as a baby. He has a huge passion for cooking, and believes that everyone can participate in cooking — old and young alike. Essie loves to play every sport in the book and is always open to trying new things. Working with children is a passion of Essie's and he has held many jobs for local schools in San Francisco. He can’t wait to bring a unique and fun energy to his campers! Essie is excited to dive into CAMP EDMO and explore all the fun in store this summer!

    Allison is beyond excited to join the CAMP EDMO as a Fashion Upcycling Instructor this summer. Allison studied Fashion Design at Cañada College in Redwood City followed by Theatrical Costuming at San Francisco State University and can’t wait to share her passion with the CAMP EDMO students. During the year she keeps busy as a Freelance Costumer, building costumes for theatre companies throughout the Bay Area. When she’s not sewing away she’s cooking and baking, always ecstatic to try a new recipe and most importantly to eat that new dish. Allison is stoked for all the new adventures to come this summer at CAMP EDMO!

    This will be Tyler’s second year as an instructor for CAMP EDMO SF Noe Valley. He is studying to earn his BFA in Animation at San Jose State University and will be working towards his teaching credential soon after. Tyler loves the camp atmosphere: the songs, the games, the improvisation, and the curriculum are all wonderful aspects that make for a wonderful learning experience. Tyler plans to enlighten campers in the ways of Animation, Minecraft-Adventure Map Making Intro, and Spy Makers. Tyler’s favorite cartoon is Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball, his favorite video game is the Simpson’s Arcade Game, and since Tyler is a studious Animator, that also qualifies him as an amateur physicist!

    Lynette Sandoval is excited to join the Camp Edmo SFMA team again! She was the Arts and Science Instructor for Camp Edmo last summer in the Marina, Presidio, and San Mateo where she fell in love with the Edmo Vibe. She continued working with Camp Edmo through Edmo 360. She loves to teach, especially those who are ready to learn and have fun. She graduated from St. Mary's College with a Bacehlor of Science in Physics. Her favorite sport is basketball and her favorite super hero is Captain America, she is excited to have fun and goofy times this summer!

    Learning is an amazing adventure—and it should feel like one. Founders Sharon Mor and Ed Caballero believe this and in 2004 founded Edventure More (EDMO), a 501(c)(3) non-profit that uses inquiry-based learning to make knowing more about ourselves and the world around us, into an epic experience. Sharon and Ed share a combined 20+ years of experience in the fields of learning, enrichment and motivational programming, and have partnered with top Bay Area museums and children’s’ organizations. Together they built curriculum, designed programs, trained staff, and began achieving Edventure More’s mission. They continue to add the latest educational approaches and top advisors in each field to Edventure More’s curriculum development process.

    Catie cannot contain her excitement to be a part of EDMO Noe Valley for the second year! A Bay Area Native, she has a Bachelors in Art Education from CSU Chico and recently received her Masters In Teaching and Teaching Credential from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has experience working with kids at the Children's Creativity Museum for three years as well as being the Animation Instructor at EDMO two years ago. Outside of working and teaching, she is an active artist in the field of drawing and printmaking, enjoys being outside in the California sun, and pestering her cat with snuggles. With a passion and drive for education, Catie is ready to bring enthusiasm and creativity to every camper at Noe Valley!

    With only one semester left, Adam is pulling through the final steps to attain his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of San Francisco, with a minor in Music. He hopes to continue his learning after college through educating others. This semester, he has been fortunate enough to work with San Francisco Math Circle as a Lead Instructor. Through this program, he is able to create his own curriculum entirely outside the standard math courses studied in school — one which promotes exploration and discovery through math, with a huge emphasis on cooperation and communication. In his spare time, Adam likes to spend time with his friends and listen to music. When he's not in the classroom, you can catch him on a picnic blanket in Golden Gate Park or in the aisles of Amoeba Music, looking for the best new albums. Adam is overjoyed to be returning to Edmo for another fun summer!

    Barbara is ecstatic to be an instructor this summer at CAMP EDMO, teaching animation. Barbara graduated from Ashland University in 2014 with her BFA in sculpture and printmaking. She then went on to Grad School at the San Francisco Art Institute for her MFA to pursue her dreams of being an imagineer for Disney one day. Barbara loves to go on adventures in her free time, seeing as much of the world as possible. She is beyond excited to make a difference in this world through art, and believes CAMP EDMO is the best place to start!
