This spectacular Redtail Air Adventures flight will carry you above the fantastic scenery of Canyonlands National Park. Majestic 1000-foot high cliffs rise above the Colorado and Green Rivers, which border it on either side. Serpentine drainage systems are carved into the terrain below the cliffs. Upheaval Dome can be seen at its northern end; the Confluence of the the two rivers form the district’s southernmost point. Then on to the Needles District, the most fanciful and colorful portion of Canyonlands. Pink and white bands can be seen in its many spires and cliffs, and it is the home of some of the most remote and famous arches of canyon country. Difficult to reach by hiking and extremely beautiful, Angel Arch and Druid Arches are the best known. Join us for three days of Fall Break Fun at Jordan’s Corner ! On October 1st, we’re kicking things off with Pumpkins & Apples Day. Campers will paint and decorate mini pumpkins, play in pumpkin spice playdough and orange kinetic sand, and explore a sink-or-float experiment using real pumpkins and apples. We’ll taste different kinds of apples, make apple stamp art, and run through active games like pumpkin relay races and an apple balancing challenge. The day wraps up with a cozy apple snack to celebrate the season. On October 2nd, it’s time for a Monster Mash Bash! Kids will create their own silly or spooky monster crafts with googly eyes and fuzzy pipe cleaners, whip up glittery monster slime in the slime lab, and dance along to Monster Freeze Dance. We’ll have a “Feed the Monster” beanbag toss game, green ooze sensory bins, and encourage everyone to wear their silliest monster socks or headbands for extra fun. Finally, on October 3rd, we’ll wrap up with Spooky Science & Silly Spells. Campers will mix bubbling witches’ brews in mini cauldrons, decorate their own magic wands and potion bottles, and enjoy a special storytime with friendly witch and wizard tales. The day will include a broomstick obstacle course and a magic potion juice bar where kids can mix colorful, safe “potions” to sip. Friday is PIZZA day. No lunch required.

Tours are offered on Saturdays at 2 PM and run a little over two hours with mostly flat walking. Free parking available across from the Colony music venue at 22 Rock City Road. Also note that the Woodstock Festival site in Bethel and the Band’s ‘Big Pink’ house are not included on the tour. Over-the-Rhine is a historic neighborhood comprised of amazing structures both above and below the ground. Come and explore with us as we walk (approx. one mile total) and ride the streetcar to major topside landmarks such as Findlay Market, Music Hall, Washington Park, and the location of the Miam-Erie Canal. We'll also learn about it's underground history as we stop by several places from above, including the pre-Prohibition lagering facility of the Lafayette Brewery and Cincinnati's abandoned subway system below Central Parkway. Then we'll go three stories underground, where the Gerke Brewery fermented and cold-stored their beer dating back to the 1850s. This requires guests to traverse a series of steep stairs and is not recommended for young children or those who have difficulty with stairs, but anyone in attendance is welcome to remain topside. Our journey concludes at a local taproom, where we'll have a round of pints, just a few blocks away from our starting point.
