Musicians in the Making teaches foundational music concepts through fun cooperative games designed to reach aural, visual, and kinesthetic learners alike. Pitch, reading, rhythm, and dictation are just some of the skills students will learn, giving them a huge leg up on their musical journey. Taught by Jeff Award winner Ariana Miles, our resident music director/”friend behind the piano”, Musicians in the Making is a great introduction to music for children on the fence about taking lessons as well as a valuable learning supplement for those already in them. Now that your child has increased his or her language skills, experienced high/low, has marched to the steady beat, and has the rhythm all inside, let's apply those concepts directly to the piano! We will learn the scale, listen to famous composers and famous piano pieces, make music with sound stories, learn musical terms, strengthen our fingers, work on proper posture and hand position, learn quarter notes and half notes, and letters C,D,E all before private music lessons begin! Melody Makers is a solid foundation for piano or private music instruction! Plus, everything is better with new friends! Classes are 1 hour long each week. The last 15-20 minutes is with parents, helping you understand what they need to practice at home.  In addition to the tuition in the schedule below, a $35 charge for books and notebook will be paid in person at the first class.  FREE Classes: Monday January 12 at 2 and 5 p.m. FREE Class: Friday, January 16 at 5:30 p.m. Classes begin Monday January 26 and Friday January 30 as per the schedule below. RCA STUDIO B Walk in the footsteps of legends with a tour of the Historic RCA Studio B. Hear inside details from famous recording sessions, learn about the timeless tools of the trade (from microphones and recording consoles to a Steinway piano that Elvis favored), and hear hits in high-fidelity, right where they were born. RCA Studio B is the site where many classic songs from Nashville’s golden age were recorded, by artists such as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, and many more. Tours begin and end at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME The Country Music Hall of Fame is the home for this popular American art form, safeguarding over 2.5 million artifacts, and featuring two expansive floors of gallery space, highlighting permanent and limited-engagement exhibitions. They play old western classics like Dueling Banjos, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams. In 1969 the Swampers founded Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and within months they were attracting hit recording artists from around the world who came to them in search of the signature sound that forever changed American music. Through the generosity of Beats Electronics the legendary studio has been authentically restored. From the vintage equipment in the control room upstairs to the orange carpet in the Swampers' party room downstairs, the building looks exactly as it did during those magical years between 1969 and 1978. Peek into the bathroom where Keith Richards put the finishing touches on Wild Horses or sit at the piano that Paul Simon played on Kodachrome.
