Our Pottery Classes at The Atelier School of Art provide a hands-on experience in clay sculpting and ceramics, tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Younger students (ages 6 and up) will focus on basic hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction, helping them develop foundational skills in working with clay. Older students will have the opportunity to explore more advanced techniques, including wheel-throwing, glazing, and surface decoration. The High School Art class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session designed for teens looking to develop and refine their artistic skills. This class explores advanced techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, with an emphasis on composition, perspective, color theory, and conceptual development. Students are encouraged to experiment with different styles and mediums while building a strong portfolio that reflects their personal artistic growth and vision.

The Middle School Digital Animation class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session for ages 11-13, focusing on expanding animation skills using iPads and Procreate Dreams. Students dive into keyframe animation, character design, storyboarding, and visual storytelling, exploring how to create compelling animations from start to finish. This class nurtures creativity and technical skills, preparing students for more advanced animation techniques and projects.

The Process Art class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session for ages 3-5, designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and sensory engagement. This class focuses on the experience of making art rather than the final product, allowing young artists to experiment with colors, textures, and materials in a fun and hands-on environment. This year, in "Art In Nature", we will study 8 artists who are famous for their depictions of nature. Our fine art projects will include drawing in graphite and colored pencil; painting in acrylic and watercolor; sculpting in foam clay; blending with oil pastels; scratch board; as well as mixed and multi-media work. In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Our staff guides students step by step through a painting, making it easy for everyone to create their own artwork. With loose, organic strokes, anyone who can hold a brush can succeed. Techniques are taught to help students practice at home. 90 minutes.

Advanced Art: Autumn Series Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:30 PM Celebrate the beauty of the season in this four-week advanced art class focused on autumnal themes. Students will explore color, texture, and composition through a variety of mediums while drawing inspiration from fall landscapes, changing leaves, and seasonal light. Each session will build toward the creation of a final, refined autumn-themed painting. Perfect for experienced young artists looking to deepen their skills and create a cohesive, beautiful piece over time.

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic and slime daily. Although there are options to take part in painting on canvas instead. ​ We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities!

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Join us for a wave of fun and creativity!

​​Furry friends make the best friends! This week we will be working in pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolor and clay! Bring them to The Giggling Pig for a cozy, colorful, and joy-filled camp experience! Each day features new winter themed art projects.Kids will explore painting, sculpting, and mixed-media crafts in a warm, welcoming environment.

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.
