The Giggling Pig is a place where everyone is welcome to join in the fun and be themselves! So in celebration of MLK and our mission to inspire unique expression we’re painting these colorful "Hands of Hope". Students will practice their blending techniques as they depict the colors of the rainbow. Then, after they've learned all about ROYGBIV, they’ll experiment with mixing all those colors together to get an array of skin tones. While exploring color, we see that though there is a whole spectrum of different outcomes, they all contain parts of the same rainbow.

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and and just plain fun! Each week we offer a variety of different media projects (acrylic painting, watercolor, plaster sculpture, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and more!). Projects change each week making it easy for campers to attend multiple weeks of camp without repeating projects, but further exploring the range and depth of mediums. We ensure a good balance between 2D and 3D projects, so whether your young artists prefers to build things and be hands on, paint, draw, or print things they'll be more than pleased! Our camps are not only fun, but an opportunity for young artists to explore art mediums that they typically do not get in school, education in art terminology and art history (including current artists). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Join us, every other Friday for a KIDS NIGHT OUT! We have been having such a blast with the kids on Fridays and love creating, eating pizza and now we are adding MOVIE TIME! We added movie to the night due to popular demand ( The Kids ) . The movie ( age appropriate animated kids movie) will be quietly playing in the background. If you want to check on which movie - just give us a call. Kids do not have to watch the movie and it will not be the main focus. Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Weekly Schedule Each week combines traditional camp activities with specialized Lando classes. Campers attend two Lando sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (each class offered twice weekly), with Wednesdays reserved for exciting field trips. Field Trips: - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Campers will experience Four Award-Winning Lando Classes: Summer LEGO® Robotics Lab – Build a new robot daily using LEGO® bricks, motors, and sensors. Tackle the Kickoff Challenge, then upgrade during Engineering Sprints. Explore gears, pulleys, and measurable goals like distance and lift. Clay Sculpting and Scene Building – Sculpt connected scenes across the week. Practice techniques in daily warm-ups, then pinch, coil, and build your world—from beach stalls to sea monsters—for the Showcase Parade. Mini-Game Coding Studio – Code arcade games using Lando's Scratch-based iPad app. Build and remix multi-level mini-games, then test each other's creations in Playtest Lab while learning loops, events, and variables. Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in sizes so sign your child up today!

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic and slime daily. Although there are options to take part in painting on canvas instead. ​ We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities!

We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!
