Join us for a morning of creativity, exploration, and fun! At this camp your child will paint a colorful background on canvas. While that dries we will paint wood butterflies to glue onto their background, creating a beautiful and unique piece of art. Your child will come home with a completed work of art. In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

This combination class offers children a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, clay, watercolors, collage, and pastels. It is amazing what you can create when you explore with your imagination. A variety of materials are used to create your many masterpieces – Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session & seasonal, so sign-up for all sessions.

Spring Semester (Mid March-May) "Every child is an artist"-Pablo Picasso. Discover the artist in your child! In this class your child will refine their fine motor skills as they learn to draw, paint, and sculpt, while also learning a little art history. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. This course ongoing so you can join at anytime and start building those drawing and painting skills. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Join us for a wave of fun and creativity!

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

This year, in "Art In Nature", we will study 8 artists who are famous for their depictions of nature. Our fine art projects will include drawing in graphite and colored pencil; painting in acrylic and watercolor; sculpting in foam clay; blending with oil pastels; scratch board; as well as mixed and multi-media work. Join us as we dive into this colorful mandarin fish painting! Students will learn all about chiaroscuro and the use of contrast to create intensity in their art. In addition, they will utilize pattern and negative space as they bring their creation to life.

Each session we will focus on a new medium , creating amazing works throughout the 4 weeks.
