Welcome to a winter wonderland of color, texture, imagination, and messy making! In Winter Wonder Lab, young artists will explore the magic of the season through open-ended, hands-on art experiences inspired by snow, ice, winter landscapes, cozy textures, frosty colors, and imaginative winter worlds. Campers will experiment with painting, sculpture, building, texture, movement, and a variety of unexpected materials as they explore what happens when they mix, layer, transform, and create. Each day brings new opportunities to follow their curiosity and turn their ideas into something completely their own. There are no step-by-step projects or perfect finished products. Instead, campers will be encouraged to experiment, make choices, take creative risks, and discover where the materials lead them. Come get cozy, get curious, and get wonderfully messy during winter break! 📅 December 21–23 No camp December 24 & 25 👧 Ages 4–8 Children must be ready to follow safety guidelines and engage in their projects for 30 minutes or more. Children must be fully potty-trained and capable of handling their bathroom needs independently. Any medical conditions (such as allergies or diabetes) and/or behavioral needs (including neurodiversity or trauma) must be disclosed during the sign-up process. This information helps us make necessary preparations and provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for everyone. All information shared is kept confidential. Camp Cancellation & Transfer Policy The policy for Messy Art Lab Camps is as follows: 100% refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of registration. All enrollment fees include a non-refundable 20% deposit. Refund of enrollment fee minus the 20% non-refundable deposit if cancellation is made prior to 30 days of session start date. No refund for cancellations made within 30 days of session start date, unless the spot is filled, in which case a refund credit minus the 20% non-refundable deposit will be issued. Cancellations must be requested in writing via email. Approval for transfer of camp week to another week will be determined on a case-by-case basis and based on availability, with a 20% non-refundable deposit/transfer penalty if made within 30 days of the original camp week start date.

Since school is out, come in and work on your projects or take advantage of our experienced instructors and learn something new! Studio Time can be used to develop new skills or strengthen current skills. All of our studio resources will be available to students during this time. Parents may drop-in last minute if they would like, buy a class-pack to use anytime during the fall semester, or register in advance. Students may choose to do ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, animation, collage, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, screen printing, or anything else we have the resources to do. Sky's the limit!

Budding artists capturing multiple objects tend to begin with the largest or most attractive one first, finish it, and move on to the next. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

Drawing and Painting Small class sizes means students receive personalized instruction around various drawing techniques, including the study of values, color theory, line and air perspective, light and shadows. By mastering these foundations, students will progress toward drawing and painting vibrant three dimensional still lifes, portraits, and landscapes using acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Using plaster molds, sculptures, and live models as reference materials, students will have a chance to study traditional and conceptual art techniques. Eventually, students are able to create art from their imagination or recreate them from famous masterpieces that they’re proud to hang up at home.

Get into the spirit of the season with this chilling silhouette painting. Students will learn about positive and negative space as they master line and form to bring their cat to life. Perfect class for children ages 7-9 years old. 90-min class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our intermediate classes throughout the school-year!

We’ll be exploring pumpkins in all the ways our artists do best — touching, scooping, squishing, rolling, pouring, painting and getting just a little bit messy. The studio will be filled with pumpkin-inspired sensory and process-art invitations, with plenty of opportunities for little ones to explore at their own pace. Expect pumpkin painting, pumpkin guts + seeds, fall sensory play, pumpkin playdough, scooping and pouring, pumpkin stamping, a make-and-take art project and LOTS of pumpkins. 🎃 Dress for a mess! Play clothes are highly recommended for both kiddos and grown-ups.

The Kids' Digital Art class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session designed for ages 8 and up, introducing young artists to the world of digital drawing and painting using iPads and Procreate. Students learn the fundamentals of layering, brush techniques, color theory, and composition, while exploring their creativity through fun and engaging projects. This class helps build technical skills and confidence in digital art, preparing students for more advanced techniques in the future.

In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Each session we will focus on a new artist and medium , creating amazing works throughout the 4 weeks. This is an introduction to artistic forms and skill-building within many mediums, creating frame worthy fun projects throughout the year.
