Advanced Art Class: Dream Destination Landscapes It may be cold and grey outside, but we can always escape through art! In this Advanced Art class, students will travel the world as they create acrylic landscape paintings inspired by their dream vacation destinations. This multi-week project focuses on developing composition, depth, and detail while strengthening patience, dexterity, and listening skills. Artists will work step by step to bring their landscape to life, learning techniques that create a strong focal point and capture the mood and beauty of their chosen destination.

Then, after they've learned all about ROYGBIV, they’ll experiment with mixing all those colors together to get an array of skin tones. The Kids' Digital Art class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session designed for ages 8 and up, introducing young artists to the world of digital drawing and painting using iPads and Procreate. Students learn the fundamentals of layering, brush techniques, color theory, and composition, while exploring their creativity through fun and engaging projects. This class helps build technical skills and confidence in digital art, preparing students for more advanced techniques in the future.

MOCHA Field Trips are a great way to spend the school year. We offer an array of art lessons and can customize curriculum based on what you are learning in your classroom. Your class or community group will participate in an engaging art lesson led by a professional teaching artist. Lessons include an educational presentation as well as opportunities for hands-on making. Each lesson is 1 hour long (Pre-K). We can accommodate up to 25 students (Pre-K). For groups larger than 25 students, a second reservation may be required and groups may need to be staggered. Students will explore art through literature by hearing a story then exploring hands on art stations related to the book. Activities will include painting, drawing, clay sculpture, color mixing, clay and collage. For my age 10+ KVArteests, we work in oil paints on projects each artist chooses with my input. This is a class for those with enough art experience or can-do attitude to work largely independently.
