Pinnacle's School Year break camps offer a fun & educational outlet for your budding scientists/naturalists (grades 1-6). Our camps allow kids to continue learning during the days off from school, while having fun, exploring, and designing projects with our dedicated teachers. With lots of time outdoors and hands-on experiments, your children will forget that they're learning. During Winter Break, campers will help us celebrate the Winter Solstice and the promise of more light and warmth in the coming days. They will have plenty of opportunities to play both indoors and outdoors. Students will learn some basic Winter Survival Skills, including fire making, camp fire cooking, insulation, and shelter making.

The 85-mile (137-km) long Columbia Gorge NSA would be a national park if it weren't a critical transportation corridor. Wire Pass is mainly a flat and narrow slot section in the Grand Staircase-Escalante. There is potential for amazing and soft color in the walls of Wire Pass and would be interesting for any photographer. Petroglyphs are located in this canyon and date back to 1000 AD. A great choice for young children due to the high canyon walls. This is a shared tour for up to 20 people.

This is on most Southern Utah bucket lists, you’ll find the local favorite one-two punch of Peek-a-Boo and Spooky Slot Canyons. These magnificent hikes, located in the Dry Fork area of the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument make for a killer loop you can tackle in one afternoon of adventure. Once you’re in, all you have to do is walk through a scenic paradise of red and purple rock, arches, and narrow slot canyons. This tour is around 5 miles total hiking distance and is considered moderate hiking going up and down hills. From the trailhead, we will hike through Dry Fork Wash, you’ll hike along the creek wash until you see the mouth of Peek-a-Boo. Once you leave Peek-a-Boo, we will hike to the entrance of Spooky Gulch. Scramble down a mellow rock face to get into the canyon. It soon tightens up, and you’ll be having a good time navigating the confines of this fun canyon. Being on time is imperative, if you are more than 15 minutes late we will leave without you.
