Explore beautiful Wisconsin while challenging yourself in this exciting camp. We will push ourselves by hiking some more challenging trails, explore local waters on kayaks or canoes, and challenging our limits with rock climbing. We will learn navigation skills and map reading, hiking and water safety, as well as respecting ourselves, communities, and God’s creation.

In class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. In this playful and active class, preschoolers build strength, balance, and coordination through age-appropriate yoga poses and gross motor activities. Children will stretch, jump, wiggle, and breathe their way through imaginative movement adventures that support both physical development and body awareness. A fun way to encourage mindfulness, confidence, and motor skill growth—all through movement and play! In this class, children will work on developing and strengthening the following: Speech and language skills, Cognitive development, Creative thinking, Problem solving, Team work, Concentration, Listening Skills, Yoga Poses, Balance, Coordination, Flexibility, Strength, Social Emotional Learning, Breathing techniques, and Self Calming skills 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles! We simply ask that you adhere to the 15 minute windows before and after out of respect for the previous class, and the following class.

Welcome to Camp Footsteps Adventurers Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont Parks and Recreation, will once again offer eight weeks of summer camp designed specifically for older children and youth entering fourth grade through middle school. Each day there is something new to do, learn and explore, camp is sure to be a fun adventure! Monday is “Welcome Day” where team building activities are explored. Tuesdays include a morning hike and recreational swim at local pools in the afternoon. Wednesdays are field trip days, with exciting field trips older children and youth love! Thursdays include hands-on STEAM projects in the morning with an afternoon trip to the Belmont Library and recreational swim. Fridays include a special event, community service project, or a trip to Camp Footsteps for our Counselors-In-Training program. Wednesday Field Trip: San Francisco Presidio National Park Hike & Overnight Camping Trip. We will spend the day hiking around the Presidio and surrounding areas. Our optional overnight camping trip will happen at Rob Hill Campground in the Presidio. Parents are welcome to attend as chaperones. Any children who choose to not spend the night will return to Barrett around 4 PM. Overnight trip includes dinner and breakfast the following morning. A separate letter about this trip will be sent out when we get closer to the start of camp.

Immerse yourself in waterfall hiking in one of the most unique geologic formations in Oregon! Over the course of the three hours we are in the canyon, we will discovering South Falls' stunning amphitheater and history as the centerpiece of a failed attempt to become Oregon's first National Park. From here we will descend into the up-and-down trails that make up the gorgeous canyon, encountering century-plus-old trees, wildflowers in season, mosses, lichens, and mushrooms and a variety of fantastic rock formations. We will experience up-close encounters with some of the state's most unusual and impressive waterfall formations. On this hiking experience we will explore 4-6 waterfalls and enjoy snacks with the option to purchase a light breakfast or lunch from the cafe. Our hike will be between three and eight miles (5 - 13 km) depending on group energy and desire.

I host and interact with my guests on Whats App. Its not a guided hiking tour. I am a scavenger hunt host and have hunts in both Taos and Santa Fe. This isnt really a scavenger hunt. Its much slower paced, creative and is more about connecting with the land. There are creative exercises. I do give you interesting background on the area but i am not a biologist who is qualified to explain the eco system of the river. if you play this solo, I am happy to host you but know that i cannot provide you with a group to play with. id say a degree of being comfortable alone on hiking trails is essential if you book solo.
