On this yoga and hiking adventure we will meet at a designated location and then guests will follow the guide to the trailhead. We'll then go on a 2-2.5 mile hike meandering through a beautiful desert eco-system, learning about plants and animals of the area along the way from our Wilderness First Responder and Utah Master Naturalist guide. Then, on top of the sticky Navajo Sandstone, we'll find a flat spot for a 1 hour yoga and meditation practice. When tour guests asks us, "what one thing should I not miss in Portland," we pick the 5-mile (8-10 km) hike in Forest Park. No matter what the season, hiking in the park is entering another world right on the borders, and through the fabric, of the city. PLEASE NOTE THIS HIKE HAS 900 FT ELEVATION GAIN We offer two departures, both with varied terrain and about 900 ft (300 meter) elevation gain. The classic hike is focused around a Northwest Portland experience, and ends at the International Rose Test Garden (when in season), the Forest Park Experience at 9 a.m. We have limited 1:30 p.m. departures. Once weekly, we offer an afternoon hike that starts at Goose Hollow, through neighborhoods and up into the park (2:30 p.m.). Both pass iconic spots; Japanese Garden, Pittock Mansion, and Witch's Castle; but take a different approach to the forest. In Forest Park—within minutes leaving the street—you can forget, or wonder at the fact that you are still in a city.

Your New York State USA Licensed Hiking Guide will take you on an adventure hike 400 steps down to the Niagara River gorge. We will hike along the old railway trail to the Schoellkopf Power Plant Ruins. The hike features some narrow and rocky trails with great photo opportunities of the Niagara River. When we reach the power plant ruins, you'll have time to explore on your own. This is also the location where the Maid of the Mist docks the boats during the off season. We will take an elevator to the rim of the gorge. From there we will take the Discovery Niagara Shuttle back to our starting point, you can uber to your next destination or walk 1/2 mile on your own to to Niagara Falls. Your guide will help you make the best decision for your group.

On this self-guided audio tour, you’ll have an opportunity to explore a few hidden gems found on the Great Falls Park trails. I’ll also show you one of my favorite, wilder paths at the national park - all guided step-by-step through GPS. You’ll see that there’s much more to Great Falls than its viewing platforms. You'll see areas tourists don't know about, including views of hidden waterfalls, the region's best rock climbing spots, and a route through an abandoned colonial-era city. There are also several opportunities to go off-trail to get up-close with the rapids at the falls. This tour can take up to two hours and, while not especially strenuous, it’s plenty exciting! Your adventure will begin with a guided driving town tour of Skagway and continue up the White Pass on the Klondike Highway. Along the way your guide will regale you with history about the Klondike Gold Rush and the natural history of the area. From the trailhead you will spend the next 2 hours hiking through the beautiful alpine forest surrounded by the towering snow capped mountains of the White Pass. Your naturalist guides will stop frequently along the way to share their knowledge about the native flora, fauna, and to describe the amazing glacial history of Alaska.
