This will be a very unique, guided experience lasting between five to six hours where I will take you to my favorite sacred spots, teach you how to connect with nature, the mountain and you will receive a transformative experience during your visit. For centuries members of the Cahuilla tribe hiked to these hill tops that overlook the Coachella Valley to send smoke signals to nearby tribes that they traded with. The trails are unnamed, so they're mostly known & used by locals & don't get nearly as busy as the other easy to find hiking trails in Palm Springs during the busy winter/spring tourism season, so it's a much more peaceful hiking area. These are some of the best Palm Springs hiking trails with lots of scenic views of the Coachella Valley & a hike into a hidden Palm tree oasis. I know these trails well & the most scenic viewpoints along the way. You'll see desert vegetation close up & views of the desert valley floor all the way up to beautiful nearby mountain peaks, while getting in some fantastic exercise. Our hike begins alongside the Las Vegas Wash, which features year-round flowing water, ponds, weirs, and lush vegetation that is unique in Vegas's desert landscape. After a half-mile, we'll turn off the main trail and follow a rocky trail up the hillside. Our hike will continue at a casual, scenic pace. Once we crest the ridgeline, we'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the entire Las Vegas valley! Bring your camera! We'll also be joined by my adorable pup, Annie! She's a joyful dog who LOVES to hike! She can't wait to meet you! The hike is about a mile each way, and gains approximately 500 feet of elevation overall. Our 6-day Young Adventurer's Program in Washington’s Olympic National Park is designed for participants ages 11-13 who are either new or experienced backpackers. (Youth will be grouped with like ages.) Explore the slit gorge on a hiking trip. Walk first 100 meters to X Canyon to see the first slit-type canyons, which is hidden in the foot seams and full of mysteries. Then walk 200 meters with your guide to reach the second gorge. Overlooking from the air, you will see the water flowing in the sand and stones. In this gorge, the X formed by the millions of years of flooding and wind-engraving Navajo sandstone will stand out clear as day. When the sun shines on two deep and quiet valleys, the light and shadow will create a charming tableaux. It has become am exciting destination for photography enthusiasts so feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!
