Our 6-day Backpacking Summer Camp for youth in Washington’s Olympic National Park is designed for participants ages 14-18 who are either new or experienced backpackers. (Youth will be grouped with like ages.) This adventure summer camp in Olympic National Park focuses on leadership and outdoor skill-building with teens camping and hiking beside high alpine lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and meadows. Most trips have an opportunity to summit peaks and/or partake in some spectacular sunsets among some breath-taking geological formations. Risk-taking and challenges complimented by fun and support from others lead to a positive and often life-changing adventure for all! On this self-guided audio tour, you’ll have an opportunity to explore a few hidden gems found on the Great Falls Park trails. I’ll also show you one of my favorite, wilder paths at the national park - all guided step-by-step through GPS. You’ll see that there’s much more to Great Falls than its viewing platforms. You'll see areas tourists don't know about, including views of hidden waterfalls, the region's best rock climbing spots, and a route through an abandoned colonial-era city. There are also several opportunities to go off-trail to get up-close with the rapids at the falls. This tour can take up to two hours and, while not especially strenuous, it’s plenty exciting! Note: Entry & Parking at Great Falls is not included.

You'll explore the beauty and wonder of the mighty Niagara River. We offer a fun, interesting and unique experience for folks looking to get away from the large overcrowded tourist attractions and bus tours. We start this tour by looking down into the Whirlpool from the Niagara River gorge rim. We will then hike down 400+ steps into the gorge and along the Niagara River rapids trails to the Whirlpool flats. Along the way you'll learn about the river and historical events. When we reach the Whirlpool you will have time to explore on your own, be mezmorized by the famous Whirlpool rapids and take some of the best photos of your vacation. We will then take the trail up the stone staircase and walk back to our meeting spot. This tour is not recommended for children under the age of 10.
