“Vera Marie” raises the bar for fishing head boats “Party Boats”. She runs two fishing trips per day during the season and 1 trip per day during the off season when available. The fishing on the bay is an exciting chance to reel in Sheepshead, Black Drum, Sandtrout, Whiting, and many others, including SHARK! Bay fishing trips primarily target tasty sand trout and whiting, but customers will also have opportunities to catch red drum and black drum. Once we reach our destination you’ll have a chance to take plenty of pictures within the canyon and swim in the Hidden Grotto and waterfall. During the course of this adventure, we will take you through the majestic wonders of Rocky Mountain National Park. There are multiple stops along the way where you will enjoy hiking, beautiful scenery and opportunities to spot wildlife. Some walking may be involved in the tour and most of the walking areas are stroller accessible, which can be carried in the cab of the jeep, or a wheelchair person could join if they can manage getting in/out of a regular jeep. We are aware that any activity can be strenuous when performed at high altitudes. As such, no activities are mandatory, and can be omitted from your particular day with us.

With easy access to the ocean via the wild and scenic Chetco River mouth, the Brookings ocean tour offers a variety of experiences ranging from frequent pelican, seal and sea lion sightings to picturesque coves as well as a wide range of ocean plant life at Chetco Point. The start of your tour in the boat basin offers easy, calm waters where you can view the many different commercial fishing boats and pleasure craft moored up to the docks. Total ocean paddling distance is about 3.3 miles.

The Matanuska Glacier is the largest and most magnificent glacier in Alaska with road access. We will drive you to within about 1/2 mile of the face of the glacier, where we'll start our hike. We'll be hiking on the glacier for two to two and a half hours, and walk about 2 to 3 miles. There is little elevation change, and the hike difficulty is rated as moderate. The glacier is about a two-hour drive from Anchorage. We will stop about half way there for a restroom break, where you will also have the opportunity to purchase coffee and whatever you'd like to have to eat while we're out. Bottled water is provided.
