SUPER BUSY Family in Washington D.C is looking for a Montessori, RIE, Waldorf Nanny Willing To relocate to Washington Montessori, RIE, or Waldorf LEAD teacher/Nanny NEEDED! Experience in an AMI certified Montessori classroom would be amazing. This is a lead nanny position, must be willing to help train others through example. Someone who is genuinely kind, patient, loving, but can also establish boundaries in an INCREDIBLY loving way. There are 4 children, 4, 2 and 7 months old. Great at playing with kids. Someone who is good at inventing games, is creative, who likes thinking up projects, who does research, likes activities, is willing to learn more about topics that the kids are interested in discussing. A nanny who can get along very well with others, and other staff members. Someone who is a team player and who has a strong sense of self. Is confident and humble, positive and optimistic. MUST HAVE energy. Someone who is happy simply when the situation around them is good and healthy. Someone who is emotionally intelligent, and who understands when it's appropriate to be loud, and when it's appropriate to be quiet. One who is mentally organized, and not forgetful. Someone who is conscientious. Someone who won't mind being employed by a young couple. A nanny who doesn't even think twice when the kid's friends come over, and there are more kids around. Someone who is energized by the presence of kids, and their friends, and is not depleted by it or upset that their job just got "harder." Someone who takes initiative to meet other parents and nannies, and sets up play-dates and meet-ups with other children that the kids seem interested in. Someone who is willing to share positive direction with the mom (when appropriate and pertinent to their job)... someone not afraid to speak their mind, but also willing to take direction if mom continues to disagree. MUST BE willing to travel. MUST BE willing to work 9-10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Someone who is occasionally willing to work extra hours, or on weekends. The family does not give off for holidays, because since they have their our own company. They DO NOT get holidays off. The father does not get off for holidays either because he is an ER physician. However, they are willing to pay 1.5x regular pay for federal holidays. The exception to this is that they will give off for Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve is a half day, and they will give off Christmas Day. The family usually needs help during these days, and anyone willing to work on these "special" holidays gets paid 2x regular salary. Family expects all employees to be willing to pull 24 (twenty four) 24-hr shifts per year at a special rate of $400/shift (meaning $400 per every 24 hours). This is for travel with the family, or to stay at their home around the clock as they travel. Since they don't take the same nannies on each trip, the flip side of this is that each nanny also gets paid time off when they aren't the ones traveling... like an extra bonus vacation. 10 workdays of paid vacation. The nanny MUST make her own arrangements with others who are employed by the family to get coverage while they are away. They will allow 5 paid sick days unless there are extenuating circumstances, the nanny must make her own arrangements for coverage when she's sick. The reason for this is that the husband has zero flexibility in his job and can't pick up his phone when on shift, and the mom is the COO of family's company, and many meetings cannot be rescheduled. Also, skipping meetings because the nanny didn't show up is NOT something that is acceptable. Hourly pay is negotiable, and will vary depending on how qualified the applicant is... Family is willing to pay TOP PAY$$$ for someone who is a lead Montessori teacher in a classroom and embodies all the qualities I mentioned above.
