Gainfully Employed, Baby-Loving Woman Available For Your Part-Time Child Care Needs

(1)
Hello! I have extensive babysitting experience. I am a godmother to two twin girls, and cared for them from birth (I was at the hospital!) until their 1st birthday. Prior to graduate school, I worked with a family part-time for 8 years. I cared for their daughter from infancy to age 8 and their son from infancy to age 5. They still request my world-famous grilled cheese and chocolate milk. I think the most important thing in child-rearing is to interact constantly with kids - listen to them, engage with them, play with them, and consider each moment a teaching moment. I am on care. com because I absolutely adore babies and children, but it is not the right time for my husband and I to have kids. So, I am hoping I can find an outlet for this maternal energy :). I am someone you can trust to keep your kids safe, entertained, and happy, while you go out and run errands or enjoy a much-needed date night.

Sarah was a caregiver to our 9 month old twins on a recent week long trip to Washington D.C. She was really easy to work with up front, and provided great references. What is really special about Sarah is how she connected with our twins, it really felt no different that if my wife or I had been caring for them. She is a calming presence, kind, caring, and a great communicator. After a few days, Sarah felt like she'd always been part of our family, and our twins were so happy to spend time with her. She is a hidden gem for parents as a caregiver in the Washington D.C.
