Caring And Helpful Sitter

(1)
Hi, I am a young professional living in Arlington, VA. I graduated from University with two degrees in accounting and entrepreneurship. I am available on the week nights after 5 p.m. (earlier on a non-recurring basis with notice) and weekends. I have six years of babysitting experience with children as young as 2 months up to 13. I have experience babysitting multiple children at a time and would be happy to provide references. My priority is to make sure the children are having fun, feel cared for, and happy and healthy. I love to do crafts, play games, and read with kids and am happy to help with homework as well.

We had to attend a formal wedding and needed a babysitter to take care of our boys. It was our first time ever hiring a babysitter. So Victoria was kind enough to stop by and meet with us two days before we needed her to babysit them. Our 3.5 year old was a bit sad that he couldn't go out with us and our 15 month old is going through massive separation anxiety and he was crying so loudly when we left. I thought she'd request us to come back at some point. But Victoria was so calm and composed. She read lots of books and played with my older son, all while holding and soothing the younger one. She promptly responded to my messages with periodic updates and cared for them so well. And the best part- she wasn't frustrated at all after having spent a solid 6 hours with them! Her patience is truly her most strongest trait and I would totally recommend hiring her. She's truly amazing. Thank you, Victoria!

Experienced Nanny

Hi, my name is Mirela. I am an experienced nanny with infants and toddlers in the DC area. In my country, I have worked for 22 years as a pediatric doctor. I have taken care of many children of different ages and I've always loved it. If you choose me to be your nanny, I'll do my best to keep your child happy and healthy! I'll engage them through playing games, reading books, learning new skills and being active outside. In the past 9 years I have taken care of many children in DC and Arlington. I watched them grow up strong and healthy into the little stars that they are today! I am confident that the same care and love would be there for your child as well! I will be available to start when you need. Looking forward to your response! Respectfully, Mirela

My wife and I hired Mirela as a nanny for our son when he was 7 months old, and she was the first person other than us to care for him for an extended period of time. As first time parents, we were nervous, but Mirela put us at ease quickly. Two things were immediately clear, 1) Mirela LOVES children (instant connection with our son), and 2) she takes her responsibilities very seriously. Mirela was a pediatrician in her home county of Albania, so she really knows and cares about children's health and safety. She was always very careful with our son and made sure he was happy, healthy, and clean. When she'd arrive, our son would always have a big smile on his face, which made it much easier to leave for work each day. Additionally, Mirela is very professional in all respects. She was very communicative about scheduling, and we never had any issues with tardiness or absences. She worked with our family for ~10 months when we parted ways due to us moving and we all miss her greatly!

I have had the privilege to send all three of my children to Star Daycare with Mrs. Tariq over the years. My children all began with her around the ages of 6-10 weeks until they were over 2 and are currently ages 4, 2, and 4 months old. Mrs. Tariq welcomed my children every morning with a smile and hug. My children had wonderful care while they were with her and her assistant Ms. Lettie. I felt as though they treated my children like one of their own. The daycare environment is also clean and welcoming for a child. There are many toys and activities for infants and toddlers and Mrs. Tariq would also incorporates many songs and books throughout the day to engage the children. There is also a fenced in outdoor area with toys that my children especially enjoyed on beautiful days. We were very fortunate to have found Star Daycare and highly recommend it.
