I have a Bachelors degree from the University of Maryland and an Associates in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery college. I have 15 years experience teaching children. I have worked with many different families to create an enriching environment in my family day care home for their child's optimal development. I developed an after-school arts enrichment program offering art and drama classes after school for elementary students in grades k-5. I also coached youth basketball for 16 years. I have extensive knowledge of early childhood/school age development and continue to educate myself through college courses, county workshops, and seminars. I have a lot of patience and I am extremely creative. I am an avid hiker and cyclist. I have 3 dogs. Currently, I manage an elementary school health room during the school day/school year part time. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and I am a licensed CNA and CMT.

Terri provided enriching care for my three children for two consecutive summers. She is creative and caring. She took them on all kinds of adventures from hikes to museums. She did art projects, summer tutoring, swim lessons, reading and much more. She watched our dog when we were out of town and always tidied up the house even though it was not in job description. She modeled respect and compassion and my kids adored her. We still keep in touch even though we have moved out of state. You would be lucky to have her be a part of your family!

Caring, Organized, Experienced Nanny

(2)
Hello! My name is Ana, but people call me Alicia or Lili. I'm 49 years old, originally from El Salvador, and have cared for children for over 20 years. I've worked with my past families for 9 years on average, and I care for their children as if they were my own. I have lots of experience with newborns and toddlers and can provide excellent references upon request! I will be available starting the last week of August, and I'm looking to work full-time with a family with one child in Silver Spring or the surrounding areas (Kensington, Bethesda, Takoma Park, Hyattsville). I live in Silver Spring and have my own transportation, and I'm also CPR certified. At this time, I cannot accommodate nanny share requests. Because of COVID-19, I wear a mask everywhere I go and socially distance from other people. I always take care to wash my hands, and I keep any areas where the children play very clean. If it sounds like I may be a fit for your family, please reach out!

Ana Alicia (we call her Lili) has cared for my son since he was 6 months old, and he absolutely adores her! She's cheerful, engaging, and very very careful with him. Many things that were difficult for me (diaper changes, getting him to eat vegetables) she accomplishes with ease. She's so thoughtful about getting him outside but making sure he's comfortable in the weather, and she makes sure he gets his naps as well. Lili is as dependable as they get, and any family would be lucky to have her!

We LOVE our HLC family. This center has been a great fit for our daughter. She is always excited to see Ms. Marielos in the morning and never wants to leave! Unfortunately we missed a few months when COVID first took hold and we started to notice a difference as our daughter was not talking and communicating as much. We are so happy to be back. We can't say enough great things about HLC.

Manjula has been a wonderful nanny to us ! She took care full time of our two daughters over the last two years and a half. We are very lucky to have found her. She started looking after them when my younger daughter was 2 months, and my elder one was 2 years and a half. She is very kind, thoughtful and experienced. Both my daughters loved her so much! . The best thing about having Manjula as a nanny was that we did not have to worry about the girls during the day, knowing that they were being well-cared for. Manjula treated our daughters like family. Our daughters especially enjoyed going with her to the neighborhood playground, to the library and to occasional playdates. In addition, Manjula makes delicious food from fresh and good ingredients. She is a very hardworking and honest person. We had a great experience with Manjula and we are very grateful to her for looking after our daughters so well.We highly recommend her ! Our younger daughter has now started pre-school, and Manjula has opened her own family daycare. We wish her the best in her new endeavour, and we are sure that the new children coming to her daycare will be very well cared for. Helene and Jean-Sebastien
