Experienced Babysitter Seeking Part-time Opportunities

Avg response < 8 hrs
Hi! My name is Melissa and I have been living in Woodley Park since August 2018. I am seeking part-time childcare work such as date nights. I work full-time as a Clinical Audiologist; therefore, I am not available during the day Monday to Friday. I have babysat for many families over the years and continue to enjoy caring for children. When I was 11 years old, I had my first job working with children as a mother's helper for a family in my neighborhood. I've cared for families with one to four children from the ages of 3 months to 13 years old. I was also a live-in nanny for a family in Southampton, NY over a summer during college. I am a hands-on babysitter; I love keeping the children busy with reading books, playing board games, playing sports, and doing arts and crafts. I am a warm, trustworthy, reliable, and kind individual. Please contact me if you think I'd be a good fit for your family! *FBI fingerprinting completed by the state of MD & DC*

Melissa was superbly helpful babysitting at our wedding. She watched 4 toddlers who were there as flower girls. We asked her to take the kids, when the parents wanted a break, and she did an excellent job being available for whenever it was helpful. She was punctual, respectful, professional and the kids felt comfortable playing with her. Highly recommend.

Responsible, Caring, Charismatic College Student Looking For Part-Time Care Position

Avg response < 24 hrs
My name is Anna and I am looking for a part-time nannying position on weekends and weekday mornings. I have an extensive background working in diverse childcare settings, and I would be a great fit with a family seeking a charismatic, experienced, and dedicated caregiver! I just moved back to the USA after working for three years in Quito, Ecuador as a 3rd grade teacher. I am completing my Master's degree in Policy Analysis while living in DC, although I have dedicated most of my professional life working with families and focusing on children and youth as the basis for healthy, happy communities. In addition to 6 years of instructional experience in ESL and formal school settings, I worked for the YMCA for 5 years as a counselor and a youth leader for social justice projects in my hometown in NJ. I have experience with kids ages 5-14. I am also creative, trustworthy, and speak near-native Spanish.

We were so fortunate to find Anna, who filled in for a handful of days that my regular sitter was away this summer. Anna is an exceptionally kind, capable and responsible caregiver. I immediately trusted her with my son, including driving him. Stepping in for an established caregiver can be tricky, but she handled it with ease and my son loved spending time with her. She stuck to our routines but also injected lots of creativity, fun and learning into their time together. Anyone looking for an outstanding caregiver would be well-served with Anna!
