Babysitter/Nanny With Experience

I have been watching kids for neighbors and family since I was 12. I never really thought that my life would be so focused around children, but it has just turned out that way. I love it! I started teaching cello lessons at 16 and found that I just loved working with kids. I went to college to study music education but then settled into deaf studies when I married my husband. I have been a nanny for four families now. One is under my references. She was a neighbor and couldn't seem to keep a nanny. I knew how to handle situations in her home and still keep in contact with her. I mainly watched over 5 of her 20 children. I learned how to do heavy housework (if you can imagine the laundry) and how to appreciate the little accomplishments, like when a child says she loves you or falls asleep on you. My second family was an emergency on account of their live in nanny running away with her boyfriend without a word. I am willing to take last minutes calls. I watched her adorable 3-year-old triplets. The third family I stayed with for a year. There is where I learned a good deal on how to work and how to get a job done well. The father of the family was a naval commander and he liked things to be in "ship shape" condition. The experience was amazing and I still keep in contact with them. I miss them dearly. My last family I am still really close to but have found myself not really needed at this point in time. We are very good friends and I love to see them when I can. I mainly watched their teenage son who has autism. I can teach your child about music. I love doing arts and crafts and I just love to try out new stuff. I'm an excellent cook. I enjoy trying new recipes but find most of my cooking is family friendly. I know how to cook vegetarian and also vegan meals if you are more health conscience. I love cooking with kids, especially if they have special needs or teens. It is a good organized way for them to learn and still have some great one on one time with someone. I love to organize and clean. I don't mind animals at all. I'm willing to go out and feed the horses or your dog... Although, I will probably decline feeding any snakes mice. I have a reliable car and find that I am a very safe driver. When driving with children, you hold the most precious cargo in the world! I am a Mormon, so I do not smoke, I won't show up with a hangover, I do not swear, watch R rated movies, etc. Basically, I'm very kid friendly!
