My name is Mary. I have been married for 19 years, and we have an amazing 15 year old son. I have a group home daycare with DCFS License since April, 2001. I obtained my Early Childhood Education Associate on December, 2013. My daycare program is NAFCC Accredited and is a Quality Counts Three Star Rated Program. We provide nutritional meals and snacks, and we are regulated by Association for Child Development Food Program. I have the joy to work every day with two wonderful women. We welcome every day diverse families and children in our bilingual daycare program. Our goal is to provide the highest quality child care. We achieve this through a combination of education, experience, a positive attitude and most importantly a love of children.
My home is a safe and happy place where children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. We provide the children under our care with opportunities to learn with mixed aged groups where they can feel safe, loved and can begin to build a positive self-image, in a clean and interesting environment. We encourage children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, independence, discovery, cooperation, and language. We believe in the value of playing. Through play children will learn cognitive, language, physical and social skills. Every day at Little Angels Home Daycare has an element of free play. We encourage the children to use their imagination and provide an area with costumes for dress up and have a gorgeous kitchen for pretend play. We promote role playing, storytelling and join the children at play.
We love music and dancing and incorporate these elements into every day. Some days the children and we play instruments, sing songs, have dance parties or just listen to music from all genres. We believe in complementing the parent/ child relationship and maintaining a caring and responsible value system. Promoting parent involvement is essential to develop partnership between child, parent and teacher. Parents are welcome to participate in daycare activities. I believe in respecting any family culture and beliefs, giving them the opportunity to feel free to share or give any comments or ideas for the program. As Daycare Providers we believe that every child will develop different.
We believe that each child is an individual with his own special interest and abilities. Our program promotes social, cognitive, emotional and physical growth.
