What is the healthy weight for a guinea pig?
My guinea pig weighs about two pounds. She seems small. What should she weigh?
Not every guinea pig is the same. According to veterinary reference books female adult guinea pigs should weigh 700 to 900 grams and male guinea pigs should weigh 900 to 1200 grams. Hope this helps!
This is incorrect. It depends what breed your guinea pig is. That will determine what weight it should be. (For example) A standard might need to be around 1200 grams while a Californian might need to be around 1500 grams.
One pound is the accurate weight for a guinea pig if she is an adult, anything higher then that you should be pretty alert.
A guinea pig should weigh about 2 lbs & not much more.
Two ozs. or 2 lbs...if you have a alb guinea pig you better put her on a diet or she is pregnant.
A guinea pig is an "adult" when it reaches 2 pounds in weight or 6 months in age, whichever comes first is the determiner. An average guinea pig is 1.5-2.6 pounds. Your guinea pig's weight depends mostly on maturity.
