Does anyone here use a canister vacuum?
I am in the market for a new vacuum cleaner. Does anyone here use a canister vacuum? What do you think of it? I've heard that they work better than upright vacuums, but they seem like they would be awkward to use.
I myself am not a fan of the canister vacs. They are heavy and very cumbersome, and terribly hard to go up and down the stairs with. A Shark vacuum with attachments works great for any type of house, also great for pets.
I have been using a canister vacuum for quite some time they do the best job upright vacs cant get under beds do hard wood floors ect they are a little heavier but its worth it. "To me anyway"
I have used a canister vacuum and I think they are just hard to keep moving with you. I prefer an upright. Hope this helps.
yes I have a Kenmore I purchased from sears. I love it . Mine is very lightweight and has attachments that do very well cleaning cracks and crevices. It can be used on hardwood, carpet, and linoleum. They are a little pricey but well worth it. Extra attachments and hoses can be purchased for them also.
I find them to be awfully annoying to drag around. I've gone through countless vacuums and cannot live without my Dyson. Even if you don't want to spend a fortune, you can buy used off of Craigslist!
One of the clients I clean for has an older Electrolux canister and it works so well, but it is hard to pull around behind you, and has very few attachments. I am amazed how well it works on rugs, it has great suction. Hope this helps!
