I worked in the special needs room of an elementary school from Feb. 2012 until the end of the school year in 2013, May. In the classroom there were two boys who had Down syndrome, one who had autism, a girl who had multiple disabilities, and two other boys who had learning disabilities. During the summer of 2012, I was a nanny in a home for a young girl who has multiple disabilities. I have also babysat a young boy who has autism. I love working with students who have special needs. I am currently attending school at A&M to earn my bachelors in Special Education. I very much enjoy working with children who have special needs. Teaching them daily life skills, playing games with them, going to public places like the grocery store are some of many things I enjoy doing with them.
