I am currently attending NIU to receive my Bachelors in Special Education. I have experience with a 15-year-old boy with Autism. I have been his Personal Support Worker throughout this summer. I also participated in Penguin Players at NIU. That is a program for adults with special needs to be apart of a play. We, the students, helped the adults with disabilities learn their lines and be active staring roles in the play. I am looking to gain more experience with those who have special needs.
