I consider teaching and caring for children my avocation. Reading, imaginative play, arts/crafts are some of my favorite activities. Teaching moments are integrated in every facet of care. I also really love doing homework and celebrating learning milestones. I enjoy home making tasks and feel anything I can do to free parental time will enhance parent/child interaction. In my experience, varied discipline practices have been employed. I respect and follow parental preferences. I am comfortable in care of all ages of children. My professional focus has been on early childhood education. I have provided care in child care centers and in 7 homes as a nanny. I have cared for children from 6 weeks through 8 years of age. In center care positions I taught children younger than 3 years of age with a high child to teacher ratio. I am fine with pets.

We have loved working with Uda and feel so lucky to have found her. She’s reliable, trustworthy, and professional. She takes care of my 8 month old (started at 6 months) and upon meeting her I could tell she has a genuine passion and love for children, taking care of them and teaching them. She is very hands on and gives her full attention to the kids, and if she finds time, she helps with chores around the home which we have really appreciated! I would recommend Uda to anyone looking for a sitter!
