About Shilo

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, caring and fun. I'm patient and not easily overwhelmed when it comes to high stress situations. I started working w/ kids when I was 13 yrs old. I babysat & helped in the church nursery regularly. In high school I worked for a daycare & after graduation I was a nanny for 2 yrs. In my adult yrs I've volunteered in the nursery at church w/ ages nb-3. I am a mother to 3, Ages 22, 17 & 13. I followed more of a gentle parenting approach, I cloth diapered my youngest & used Babywearing w/ all 3 kids . Over the last 5 yrs I worked as a Para in a self contained classroom w/students ages 13-22 w/ all different types of learning differences. I built strong connections w/ my students & their families. I've stayed in contact w/ them & have been able to pick some of my students up to do fun activities. In my spare time, I like to spend time w/ my kids, my grandma who's 101, or friends. I also enjoy my small group at church, working out or reading.
