I was first a babysitter for a family with 6 children and once I was 18, I became a full time nanny for the family. I cooked, cleaned and made lunches and dinners and helped with extra curriculums. In early 2012 my mother had a massive stroke and I became her full time caretaker with the help from IHSS. On a daily basis I took her blood sugar, checked her blood pressure, cooked her meals, took her to all her appointments, washed her clothes, and with her wheelchair took her out for entertainment and stimulation. My care for her continued until 2021.
