Hi! My name is Quin. I am a FCPS Reading Specialist and have taught 4 years of both kindergarten and first grade. I received my Masters from GMU and have been trained Voyager Sopris LETRS which aligns with the Science of Reading. I have tutored many students in phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension in which all of them showed immense progress. Upon first meeting your child, I will get to know them by playing a non-academic game and then feel out the student to see if they're willing to take a few assessments. After completing the assessments, I will summarize my findings, state a realistic goal, explain my methodology and which curriculum I will use during our sessions. I am looking for tutoring positions for after school hours. Usually for children ages 4-6, I recommend 2-3 sessions per week, 30 mins each. For a child who is older, I have tutored 1-3 times a week, 1 hour per session. I am interested in tutoring on weekends as well.
