Hi my name is Maria! And this is a bit of my background. Looking forward to hearing back from you :) I've spent the last few years doing what I love most, which is working with children. Whether as a nanny, an after-school program assistant, or a paraprofessional in both elementary and high school settings, I've found so much joy in supporting kids of all ages. My background in Surgical Technology gave me a strong foundation in the medical field, and I'm currently working toward a second degree to continue growing both personally and professionally. Most recently, I stopped working for a family which had two sweet little ones. D, who's 3, and S, who's just 2 months old, in a part-time role that's as rewarding as it is dynamic. I step in whenever the parents are at work, and I'm always ready to help however I can. Maria came to us at a very trying time and was exceptional. Our nanny, her aunt Carol, had to go on maternity leave and we were so concerned about not only having childcare, but having someone we could trust. Maria swooped in with all the right kind of energy, dependability and know how that we could possibly want. She was with us for over a year and I don't think I missed a day. She was someone we could always rely on. Put in extra time in a pinch. And was incredibly engaged and supportive of both of our children.
