I was an aide supervisor and personal assistant to an elderly woman in Pittsburgh. I hired and fired employees, set the schedules, paid household bills, made the doctor's appointments and social visits. I also oversaw the dispensing of medication, conducted physical therapy and accompanied my client during travel by airplane and driving trips with her vehicle. Finally and most importantly, I made her laugh and showed her affection. I knew what she needed before she knew what she needed, making me a very attentive servant. I loved my job.
