About Liza

I have been an ESL teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools for the past four years. I have MSDE certification in ESL K-12 and Special Education. My current position has allowed me to work and collaborate with students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I am presently the coordinator of the after-school tutorial program for ESL students that provides students opportunities for reinforcement of taught skills and preparation for state mandated tests. I love children and enjoy working and playing with them. I have been a trusted baby sitter of my siblings' and friends' kids. I aim to provide children an enjoyable learning environment where they can take ownership of their own learning while having fun. I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree at Johns Hopkins University and trying to earn extra money this summer for tuition in the fall.
