My main purpose in pursuing a care position is helping others. I grew up with a brother that has severe autism. He is nonverbal and doesn't understand much verbally, I help him with almost everything. This has taught me more than most people could. He has taught me compassion, patience, and understanding kids with special needs and I always strive for the opportunity to help as much as I can. I am a hard worker and determined to help and learn more. My brother is now 17 years old and I help him shower, prepare food, engage him in physical activities, help him write, read to him, and much much more. It wasn't easy growing up being the oldest of 4 with a brother with special needs and behavior issues but I was never discouraged. Now I am looking for the opportunity to help others and grow relationships and bonds with those that are willing.
