I am a retired RN of 22 years. Most of my career I worked in the Family Birth Center with newborns. I have worked with infants with feeding difficulties, bilirubin problems, prematurity, and other issues. I also have worked with a special needs set of twins from when they were 2 to 14 years old. They had a muscular disorder and were in wheelchairs. They had trachs and were on home ventilators. They had GTs for feedings and meds. They were nonverbal and used a modified sign language due to their limited use of hands and arms.
