This past summer, I worked as a camp counselor for a young girl with disabilities. This experience gave me a good training in working with children with special needs and inspired me to want to do more to help those with disabilities in the future. As a current college student, I am trying to get a degree in Exercise Science so I can go on to physical or occupational therapy school. I would love to work with children and plan to minor in disability studies as well. I also have training in Emergency Medicine. Last year, I took an EMT course and have volunteered at a Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department for my junior and senior years of high school.
