Hello! I work with special needs children for Palos Verdes school district. I'm looking for something in the evening time. I have a few years of work experience since i've graduated from Cal State LA in 2017. I also volunteer with adaptive athletic programs, I've been a camp counselor for a special needs camp as well. I've volunteered 40+ hours with an Occupational Therapist at an elementary school. My long term goals are too go to grad school for Occupational Therapy. I'm really good with animals and I also have 1 year of experience of Senior care.

I was Danielle's supervisor at a local elementary school for a year and a half, where she worked as an instructional assistant for students with special needs. Danielle's duties included delivering instruction in language arts and math, motivating students using positive reinforcement strategies, collecting observation data within the classroom, and providing supervision during unstructured times. She had to follow a strict schedule that involved delivering services within various K- 5 classrooms throughout the work day and was very punctual while doing so. Working in special education can be very unpredictable at times, but Danielle showed great strength in her ability to adapt to different situations and make decisions under pressure. She built strong rapport with the students during her time in my classroom (many of them still express that they miss her to this day) and I would highly recommend her as a quality caregiver for your child.
