Hello! I work with special needs children for Palos Verdes school district. I'm looking for something in the evening time. I have a few years of work experience since i've graduated from Cal State LA in 2017. I also volunteer with adaptive athletic programs, I've been a camp counselor for a special needs camp as well. I've volunteered 40+ hours with an Occupational Therapist at an elementary school. My long term goals are too go to grad school for Occupational Therapy. I'm really good with animals and I also have 1 year of experience of Senior care.

I was Danielle's supervisor at a local elementary school for a year and a half, where she worked as an instructional assistant for students with special needs. Danielle's duties included delivering instruction in language arts and math, motivating students using positive reinforcement strategies, collecting observation data within the classroom, and providing supervision during unstructured times. She had to follow a strict schedule that involved delivering services within various K- 5 classrooms throughout the work day and was very punctual while doing so. Working in special education can be very unpredictable at times, but Danielle showed great strength in her ability to adapt to different situations and make decisions under pressure. She built strong rapport with the students during her time in my classroom (many of them still express that they miss her to this day) and I would highly recommend her as a quality caregiver for your child.

Ashley is an amazing person to work with, I use to work at Del Amo Mental Health Hospital with her. Her laugh/smile and strong work ethic made work a lot easier and way more fun, just ask our patients, she won "best/favorite employee" 3 months straight by vote of our patients. Her strong work ethic didn't only include doing her job well but her compassion that she put into getting to know every patient no matter their background. She volunteered to do the work with patients that others wouldn't do by being 1:1 with them helping with bathing, feeding, mobility, getting fresh air etc. and never once complained. She made it a point to make her 1:1 feel respected and comfortable.

Of course I have nothing but amazing things to say about this woman. If you're looking to put the safety and care of your family member in the hands of a trustworthy, hardworking and colorful person, Ashley is your gal. I met her when we worked at the Psychological Care & Residential Healing Center together and she grew into a really good friend. She's really good at communicating and listening and her compassion speaks loud within her actions. She treats everyone, including strangers, as she's known them for years which makes people (such as our clients) feel safe enough to let their guard down around her, from experience.
