I have worked with special needs kids in the home and also at a speech care center. I love working with special kids, they give me so much joy and have taught me so much about myself. At the speech center, I would assist the speech teacher with speech and also getting the kids to interact. When I worked with them at home, I would care for them. I would go to different homes and help the parents care for them: feeding, bathing, playing, and whatever to help the parents have a little time for themselves. Even though I could not interact with these kids on a regular basis, they knew I loved them, and we have such great fun together.
