About Amelia

I have been a professional career nanny for 25 years. I discovered that I loved working with children at a young age as the second oldest of eight siblings. I have lived in San Francisco since early childhood. I have earned my Associate Teacher Certificate from Santa Rosa Junior College in 1999 and in 2003, graduated with a BA from Sonoma State University's Hutchins School of Liberal Studies in a pre-teaching track that focused on Multiculturalism and Diversity. I spent 17 years working with children of all ages before giving birth to my son, in 2012. (Fortunately, we live below the in-law's home, so I have great coverage for my childcare needs!) A year later, I became a Certified Birth Doula. When my son entered preschool, I volunteered as a parent teacher. The school quickly hired me and I was able to complete the requirements needed for my California Master Teacher permit. I then continued as a nanny. I am looking for a part time position that is from 25-35 hours a week.
